Carrier AT&T iPhone 12/12 Pro/Max Pre-Order/Order Status/Delivery Thread (2020)

Ya I haven’t had to sign either. That’s why so many articles have been out about robberies during iPhone launches
That still sucks. Mine says delivery the 23rd but it's hasn't been updated since yesterday. Called ATT and was told that is because ATT is delivering them the rest of the way from their stores. Sort of the in home set up person without the person. Said my phone is already at my local store?
Ordered iPhone 12 Pro Silver at 8:00:31am ET on 10/16/2020 and shows delivery window of November 2nd-9th. Still shows in progress. People who ordered after with movement is frustrating
Same exact situation for me. I ordered 10 mins before the phone even went on sale and got November 2nd - November 9th - I seen posts from people who ordered a day after me getting their phone tomorrow and mine is still showing “In Progress” for this I hate you ATT - 14 years of being a loyal customer, I haven’t missed an iPhone launch since 2007...I’d go line up at my local mall but I hear that’s impossible now because of the reservation system. Such a major bummer. I’ll never ever order from ATT again.
It seriously is enough to make me consider switching to T-Mobile and giving them a shot. I get that logistics can be a nightmare, but when you post on your site that you manage pre-orders as first come, first serve, then I see that my order has been changed to "backordered" but you fulfill orders made days later for the exact same model/storage/color device I ordered weeks ahead of their given delivery date it is unacceptable.
Question for you folks. I ordered my pro straight from Apple and paid in full. It is my work phone and arrives today. I am going to be ordering a Pro Max through AT&T for my personal phone on November 2nd. I am curious how the ordering went. So, do you select AT&T, then no trade in? Then, you have 30 days to either mail in the phone or take it to a store, correct?
Order 2 phone on the evening of 16th.

It seems like AT&T is trying to screw over folks on multiple levels. I am a bit different...I am not eligible nor do I want AT&T's $800 dollar trade-in offer. I have my iPhone on the Next up trade-in plan after paying off half of the device. I am not going to change to an unlimited plan because it will raise my bill significantly and I don't care about 5g. I just went through the process on Apple's website. They don't have an option for those of us who just want to trade-in and go like normal. The only AT&T payment option is the new deal I don't want. That is complete BS. Now, I will have to wait until my local AT&T store has stock and go in the old fashioned way.
I ordered exact same time as you, same phone but 512GB and mine is out for delivery in Houston.
This is complete BS. Ordered one hour into preorder and both phones are sitting at "In Progress". I understand stock issues but I don't understand the ignorance of customer service in regards to this launch. From AT&T, I've received so much bad information that I'm seriously considering moving all 5 of my lines somewhere else.
I ordered premier and mine is still “In Progress” and doesn’t even show an estimated shipping window anymore. So frustrated.
Definitely not trusting AT&T with a pre-order again, this is ridiculous. The point of pre-ordering is to ensure you get a device on time, and without the hassle of stocks running out at local stores, but I guess that’s too hard for a massive company with billions at their disposal to understand ??
Mine never shipped either and I ordered through Premier right when orders started. Disappointed and won‘t be ordering form AT&T again. Heck - they are available at Apple store this morning. Easier just to order from Apple and trade my phone in with Apple rather than doing an upgrade through AT&T.
What I would do except apple only offers $250 for the X compared to the $800 from AT&T
Makes sense for you then. I trade my phone every year or sell on Swappa, so it is easy just do through Apple.
There’s not an apple store within 400 miles with the 12 pro blue 128 in stock according to the apple store app
