Does anyone else use this with a cradlepoint router? I have one and I can't get it working properly. It will show up and WIFI can be connected to and work for a few minutes, and then it gets shut off. I wonder if ATT is shutting down the data if it's connected to a router instead of in an iPad. The one in my Unite Pro 5G still works perfectly though. I use about 50GB a month on the Unite with no issues. Has anyone else experienced this or come up with a remedy for this situation before?
I had the same problem with my Cradlepoint MBR1400 router/modem with my iPad sim running in it. Sometimes I could get a couple days of it running OK, and other times it would only be a few hours before it would kick me. The router would still show full bars with great signal, but no data would pass through. A simple restart of the cradle point router always fixed the problem. Not ideal though when you are trying to run security cameras in a remote location and the Internet keeps cutting out every few hours.

TOMMYBOY4 thanks for your response. And that is exactly why it's frustrating me lol. Can't be around to restart it ALL the time.... I'll look into finding a fix for this through CradlePoint and maybe they can help.

If you find a fix, let me know. I tried for over 6 months doing different things/settings hoping to figure out a solution. I never could get it to work correctly w/ the cradlepoint, so I ended up just selling the Cradlepoint router and modem. :( I don't know if they do random sweeps of the IMEI numbers for devices being used, or what was going on. It was so random when it would get kicked too.

Well, the plan I was set to buy for $375 fell through. I think he was trying to scam me anyway. Once he said he sold it to someone else, he said if I sent him a $30 PayPal gift, he would mention to his "uncle" that I wanted to buy his unlimited plan.

No thanks. I'll end up renting an unlimited line on eBay for $150/month.

If you get tired of renting keep an eye on eBay user a1infinitedata - this guy has sold multiple unlimited iPad plans and he is a reliable seller. $29.99 a month vs $150 a month is quite a bit over time, even if buying a plan outright is more expensive, it will pay for itself, eventually.

Has anyone successfully used a SIM with this unlimited iPad plan in an Android phone for tethering with no issues? I might be able to get one soon, and I want to be able to use the device I already have (LG G2 D800) rather than buying another accessory (the Unite Pro jetpack hotspot).

No because it's a phone, you will loose the plan.

Haven't tried. But if you are going to carry an extra device, btween a dedicate tethering phone and mobile hotspot, I'd pick the hotspot. It's made to tether, just tether, so it has better wireless performance.
If you don't want to carry an extra device, just jailbreak you iPad and enable tethering

I bought at AT&T unlimited plan on eBay over the weekend. I got it for $1300. I really didn't want to spend more than $1,000, but some want as high as $2,000. The guy I bought it from as able to transfer the unlimited plan to my current iPad sim I already had. I was surprised when he said it was done.

Congrats on getting the plan. It is a solid plan, I'm on it right now typing from my MacBook. Around 100GB so far this month and I have 23 days left!

Thanks. I assume it will just auto renew every month on my credit card and I don't need to do anything else but pay the $29.99 a month. It's great to have one of these. So many people want unlimited data.

how did he transfer the account to your sim? is that an att sim or an apple sim?

I trusted him with my login and password and he called AT&T and explained the situation to them and he said he was on the phone for 3 hours...but he finally got them to transfer the unlimited data plan to my AT&T prepaid account number. I already had an existing 3 month 1 GB plan on it and they took that off and refunded me the $25 since it just started and now I'm on the Unlimited MB plan for $29.99. I didn't think this would work and he would have to send me the SIM he was using but it worked out.

That's definitely the more complicated way to do it, glad it worked out for you though.

Just tried on an apple sim, actually there is no need to call att at all... Just login on the new iPad with new SIM card, and there will be a option to transfer any existing plans to the new SIM card.

I have my ipad plan and barely use it. It sucks in houston compared to my verizon udp. I'm just holding into it hoping they deploy band 30 and release a new hotspot supporting said band to see if we get better speeds.

Are you using LTE-A on a Unite Pro currently (for AT&T)?

I have an unlimited grandfathered AT&T plan I've been planning to sell on eBay. If you're interested PM an offer to me!
