Reading the last few pages, it would seem as though I could switch the sim between an iPad and LTE equipped Surface 3? That would be awesome as I would have an option for some of the more desktop OS needs I occasionally have on the go.

You can use it in any GSM device that can use data. I have a SIM in an old iPhone and it works fine.

I could imagine what this forum will look like year from now when data become so damn expensive and people are like begging for the plan, I'm sure that ATT will be up the month recurring charges for the plan to about 35-40 dollars extra but it will still be worth the price compared to paying per GB on the account.

As you guys can see, on eBay, people are going crazy on the price for the plan, i have never seen it so high its close to 3000 dollars for the plan.

Like i tell any and everyone grab the plan while it out there being it won't be out there for long.

People say that there around Wifi all the time, but ain't nothing like your own dedicated connection to have when you are out and about streaming and downloading, also there are certain people that have ATT international Data unlimited plan, people need to get on that too, because those plan where dead, but some i only saw 3 of them getting sold, so get them while there here also, because in the future you talk about being worth money its going to be worth money.

Not sure why anyone would go this route. I pay $25 as a t-mobile customer, $35 if I wasn’t, and receive a 6gb allocation per month, with zero overages. The services also comes with data-stash for 12 months plus Binge-On, which means I have watch unlimited video on the iPad. T-Mobile also permits me to use this as a hotspot, which you cannot with the legacy AT&T unlimited plan. Plus I get unlimited international data included, though capped but still usable.

I will end up paying $600 over 24 months for all of these features. On top of that, my T-Mobile service has faster LTE speeds than AT&T in most cities. Whereas, anyone who pays even $1.6k to purchase some at&t unlimited plan, ends up paying a mind-boggling $2,300 over the same period.

I can also add jump (insurance & upgrades) to my Tmobile tablet service and I get to free up cash by spreading out the cost of the iPad purchase over the 24 months - interest free.

I have a grandfathered unlimited data plan as well. I currently have a micro SIM card in a iPad 3rd generation. What are my option for a hot spot? Thank you in advance

This is what I would love to have. Truly unlimited data on a phone with Hangouts/Google Voice. Unlimited everything on AT&T for only $30/month. Man. :/

Hey guys new to the forum the closest thing I can think of to what u want is the no throttling Verizon unlimited data. Att throttles. By the way does anyone have the iPad unlimited data on here that are looking to sell it? I'm interested in purchasing

AT&T throttles if you abused it or if you stick you sim into something else. I've had TWO of their unlimited plans on my and my wife's iPads since the beginning, and we have NEVER been throttled.

Are u interested in selling one if u don't mind me asking? Need it to do research for Church stuff on the run.

AT&T does not throttle the old $30 unlimited plan ever.

And abuse has nothing to do with being throttled. It's simply how much you use. On any other plan, you're potentially throttled after 22GB.

does anyone know if anyone from the forum is thinking about selling one? The iPad unlimited data one?

Let me check with the wife. She has one that she never uses.

What are you willing to pay? It's selling between $3,500-$4,000 on eBay. We won't ask that much, but we won't give it away either.

I would eventually like to use only the unlimited iPad plan in an iPhone and then use a VoIP app for calls/texts. Then it will be unlimited everything for $30/month. I'm currently on AT&T Next at the moment.

unite or unite pro hotspot, if you get the original unite you could just get one of those conversion sim kits that hold the smaller sim in a larger sim casing.

it's pretty nice. i definitely go the hangouts/google voice route. surprisingly though as time progresses i use google voice less and less, seems like these days everyone wants to communicate with apps over texting. unfortunately most of them don't prefer hangouts.

owning one currently i think the buy it now prices are over inflated on eBay. it seems like 1700+ is the going range these days. imo they are worth every penny of 3000+ though.

From what I see on ebay's completed auctions, there were 16 sold and the prices ranged from a low of $1,100 to a high of $2,750. The average selling price is $1,680.88. Very close to your $1,700 estimate.

Wow, if I sold both of our iPad data plans, I would get $3,400? That is amazing.

But that's the good thing about Hangouts and Google Voice. Your friends don't have to use it. You can just text and call their actual numbers.

Yeah I meant mainly that people are moving away from texting/traditional calling and towards whatever voice/video/text app they prefer, which is usually something other than Hangouts. It would be ideal to have everything in one place, but hey, it's literally unlimited everything for $30 a month so no big deal.

Well in that case, you can use whatever service your friends are using, since that just uses data. Hangouts and GV would be mainly used to get around not having actual minutes or texts.

That's good FOR YOU. 6 gb a month? I normally do about 40-50. I've done 100+ before. Others have done hundreds of gb. Att lte is still better overall than Tmobile. I have Tmobile as my phone service btw. You need a hotspot? Jb an iPad or get a unite pro.

I hope you can see the value of unlimited, never throttled att 4g lte for 29.99 a month. Some are using it as their home internet. The savings if you are a data user far outweigh the costs.
