These latest prices are in the tullip mania range now. $3k on top of $30 a month. Would be funny when att kills these and they become worthless

Where are they selling for $3k? For that price, I would sell mine. (not an actual offer to sell, just a comment)

Wait you can just swap service by simply changing the numbers back and forth online? How long does this process take to have the service take effect?

Faster than physically swapping sim?
It is instant.

Physically swapping the SIM is fastest. I have multiple devices that take different sized SIMs, so it's easier for me to update the SIM online. At most, it takes 5 minutes to activate the new SIM.

You hating cuz you didn't get one when they were cheap? boohoo
ahhhh booohooo. I really have no use for it. I thought of getting one when they were about 750-800 but couldn't find a reason to need to pay $30 a month for it

Yeah, I wouldn't have bought mine in that range (though sub 1k) had I not used it for home internet. The comment made earlier regarding local speeds matters, especially at the current price they seem to be selling at.

Does anyone know if there is additional charges for domestic data roaming? I'm in Maine right now (Atlantic side, not near Canada). I had to enable data roaming to get internet back but I'm worried it's going to end up costing me an arm and a leg.

I'm not sure but I am super curious as to if roaming works with this plan at all, let me know how it works out with having used roaming.

I searched everywhere and couldn't find anything about it so far. Asked in this thread a few pages back and nobody seemed to reply, maybe they will now I hope.

It works just fine! But I'm worried I'll get a big bill at the end of the month. :(

Did you end up paying a huge bill? Ive been looking at the ipad udp plan but they seem to be going for $3,000. Is it really worth the risk? Has anyone been scammed? I was looking it for under $2,000, but I wonder if its better to just buy a Verizon udp instead or just get the current atnt udp or even the tmobiles udp.

Nope. I was just charged the normal $29.99. I don't think they have a way to tell you to not use it when roaming

Also there's no way you'd need to lay that much. I've purchased 3 of them so far. First one was over a year ago for $1300. Second was 2 months ago for $1500. Third was a week ago for $1650. You have to dig for deals, eBay isn't the place to look. You can find them though :)

The data plan resides on the SIM card - not the device. Therefore you can use the SIM card interchangeably between a phone and iPad for example.

Actually, you can change the SIM it is assignd to. I alwyas go online to update my decice ID when I upgrade to a new iPad. Swithces over in a few minutes max. I don't think it will work with an iPhone, however.

I'm just curious, when you click cancel plan (obviously please do not try it on your unlimited plan!) under domestic plan when you login to att.com/ipadlanding does it ask if you are sure you want to cancel or does it actually cancel instantly? Also how does one know if their account was generated recently? I only know the payment history only goes back to 2015.

Does anyone know how to use the plan on an Android phone as a data only device? I tried using it in my unlocked AT&T Galaxy Note 4 using an old broadband apn I found from a 3 or 4 year post, but it didn't work. I really don't need the plan on my iPad any longer, but I want to keep the plan and use it in the Note 4 as a data only device.

I know of someone who used it in an iPhone, but I don't know if there's something different or if AT&T changed something.

I know I can't use the DirecTV unlimited plan for tablets in a phone.

Use those settings, I use one in my galaxy note 5. It works perfectly.

Out of curiosity how much data usage have people been hitting on this plan?

I've got two of them, one I use for home, other while I travel. Both reside in Unite Pro hotspots.

Typically it's about 30-50GB per unit for me, but I'm probably a light user.

where else can you find them besides ebay?

I got a great deal off ebay! Keep looking out for deals! I got it from a seller named daminsky who went out of his way to ensure everything went well.

How much did you get it for?
