Most people will NOT get movement or even tracking until Thursday or, even sometimes Friday morning. I've done this for 4 years now. If you ordered it and it said release date delivery, you'll more than likely get it (pending FedEx screwups).

I'm late, very late, to the party. Just pre-ordered one last night since my employer is doing stipends for cell lines now. Estimated delivery is scheduled for mid-late October. Knowing October it probably won't be that late, but hey.
 
Mines is in Irving, Tx now and per instructions I can’t get mine until Friday.

This will be my second time getting a phone launch date. I’ve mostly been a couple weeks or months behind.
 
I was a little late getting things squared away and didn't get my order sent in until yesterday.

So far ATT is giving an anticipated ship date of... October 24-October 31 :oops:

Hoping that's a gross over-estimate :p

I ordered a phone last year late for my mom through ATT, and it was the same thing. I do believe it came about a week or two earlier than estimated. I figured ATT would rather you be happy it came early than pissed it came later if they missed the earlier date.

Then most likely you will have concierge delivery. I did for the last four years. A Att employee sets up a time and drops it off after they text you and offers to set up the phone. Either that or they sometimes over night it.

Well, I’ve had that fan pin account for quite a while now my last delivery of an iPhone was delivered by FedEx and left at the front door so I did not receive anything directly from AT&T. Currently I do not have any shipping information. Other than it is expected to ship Thursday. I don’t know who the carrier will be. It will either be FedEx or UPS. However, with the information that you just gave me I can call AT&T and see if there are any new changes.

Cool, mines has October 24-29 delivery so I was hoping the same thing because a whole month away would be torture
 
Has anyone figured out what AT&T uses as the reference number for the package? Tried to enroll in FedEx Delivery Manager but I have to wait for a pin to be mailed to me. if I can figure out what they use as a reference number I can track it with that (hopefully) via FedEx...

My fedex tracking says delivery date for tomorrow (sept. 14) before 4:30pm.

Has anyone ever received their phone early?

I don’t believe people have gotten early deliveries since the 4S. That’s the last one I recall people receiving early. However, I don’t recall this many people getting tracking info that says it will be delivered early. I don’t expect it but wouldn’t be surprised if a couple slipped through the cracks and accidentally got delivered.

My reference number has nothing to do with my account, phone number, order number, or anything. Sadly I think it might be random.
 
Mine doesn’t have any extra details at the moment. It just says we’re getting ready to ship your order and it should ship on Thursday the 15th. I don’t know who the carrier is going to be, FedEx or UPS. No details on either one and I have not received any emails from either one of those either. so if you get your phone early congratulations
 
No boxes coming from either fedex or ups to my address. Weird some have access to their tracking numbers and others don’t while all ordering from AT&T.

Some have been able to get tracking info if you ordered through Apple for AT&T which leads to some confusion here. Rest assured we'll get our phones for the scheduled delivery date, but we won't get tracking info until tomorrow or Thursday the latest. For myself, AT&T has always used UPS for deliveries.

Mine says it will come today, but the delivery date isn't right. I'm sure they will all be held until Friday.
 
There is no issue with holding the package if its set for tomorrow but deliver date Friday? That shouldn't push it past Friday correct?

I dont if any one else is trading in an older iphone, but I called my local ATT store and asked for them to help with the trade in process, make sure all required information off, all settings factory, and shape of phone.. I have read that some traded ins were not done right and was discrepancy in what you turned in... they said be happy to help, just dont ask on release week heh.

on a side note, are our att phones coming from over seas, or will see shipping just from an att location Thanks
 
My order just gets even more confusing, I ordered my iPhone at 05:06am on launch day, initially it said I would get mine on the 16th, the following day it slipped back to the 23rd according to apple.com, my status is still showing as pending shipment, but according to my UPS account its currently in Louisville KY and will arrive on the 16th lol
