Depends on your carrier, your phone should have arrived with a return slip. You can use the same box to return your old device. Update:Y'all are lucky. Pre-ordered last Friday. Had it shipped to the store. Received UPS tracking information. Everything going smoothly, until I checked my tracking information this morning. Damage Reported. Empty box reported. Notifying shipper. Not the first time I've had issues with UPS.
Went to the AT&T store where I pre-ordered. Manager was less than helpful and said to wait. Eventually they'd receive either a damaged box, which they would report, or a new phone in for me. And that they'd let me know when the new phone arrives. Yippee.
I would honestly call ATT back and ask for a manager since they are giving you the run around. In most cases, they will escalate if requested. You can also use key buzz words like "Retention Department" as well.Update:
Called AT&T. They said that on their system, all they see if the order in transit. They checked the tracking number and told me the same thing I told them. That my package had been reported damaged and shipper would be notified. They said there's nothing they can do and that I need to contact UPS.
I called UPS. They read me the same thing that the website said. Your package had been damaged and we would report it to the shipper. They said to call AT&T and let them know that UPS would respond.
I asked both sides how long it would take to remedy the situation. AT&T said it depends on UPS. UPS said it depends on AT&T. No accountability on either side. My estimated delivery date went from 09/16/2022 to open-ended.
