Did not work for me yesterday, just activated it this morning st 6 am. Said it was a success though I am yet to try it. I live in Upstate NY about 3 hours north of the city

Just sat side by side with a friend who is also on AT&T. Both us have iPhone 6's. He could activate it; I could not. The only difference is that he is on the NEXT plan and I am not.

How much do your phone numbers match? Area code, exchange...etc

Same area codes. I'm not sure what you are referring to with "exchange" though...?
Exchange being the second set of three numbers after the area code. Anyhow, doubt it would mean much. Just wondering if you had a number from another area but are physically sitting in a covered area. With the same area code as the other person, I don't know what to guess.

Are either of you grandfathered into unlimited plans?

Has anyone gotten an unlimited account to work yet?

I also don't have a WiFi option under Settings -> Phone, with an AT&T 5S, with a fresh install of the new beta.

[edit]Whoops, I have the public beta, not beta 5.

Not sure it matters if you're DB5 or PB3, as the build number is the same (13A4325c).

Previously mine said not available in my area. Tried randomly today and it worked. Confirmed my address and it switched over a few minutes after.

I'm in Houston, on the NEXT/mobile share plan

It only works when I turn on airplane mode, then turn on wifi. It didn't even automatically turn on when I had one circle of LTE.

In MA, when I have good signal I do not see the "WIFI" even when I am on a wifi connection.

When my signal gets weak I see the "WIFI" come up.

I think you need to have only 1 or 2 signal bars for it to work.
