For the ones who got AT&T WiFi working, care to share the following:

1. City, State
2. AT&T voice plan
3. AT&T data plan

I ask this, because when I called AT&T the person switched me to unlimited voice and couldn't get it to work. She tried me to switch from unlimited data to the mobile share data plan at which point I stopped her and asked her 'what does my unlimited data have to do with wifi calling'? She didn't know how to answer except that she was comparing one account in my area that has it working with mine.

AT&T is doing everything it can to get rid of this group since they consider them a liability now.

Read over the thread. There are different plans, voice and data that people are on and it works for some and not others. Same for the state. It varies. Not sure why people call AT&T regarding this when the OS is still a beta. AT&T is not going to have a clue until after it launches. Why go to such drastic measures as to switch plans to get WiFi calling?? I don't get it.

Wait it out. It will come eventually.

I'm in the Inland Empire (Riverside) and its live for me. Haven't tested it with a call yet but I don't think we have HD voice yet, so not sure if I can test that out too.

Also saw my first benefit - instantaneous text forwarding on my iPad from my iPhone. I have quite a few android and Windows Phone friends and when they text me when I'm home I always hear my iPhone upstairs if I'm working downstairs, and a good 10 seconds later, my iPad would ring. Now, no more wait. This is a welcomed surprise.

Has nothing to do with the plan. Nothing.
Clearly there are people who are having luck with activating. Most if not all seem to have a mobileshare plan. I have yet to hear of one person with a unlimited data plan have it activated....

Do you get unlimited calling minutes if you also have unlimited data? If not, you will not be able to participate according to the paragraphs in the signup. It says you are required to be on a plan with unlimited talk and text and it mentions Mobile Share but says Mobile Share or a plan with unlimited talk/text. If the unlimited data plans dont then they will not be included in the trial. Maybe in the final rollout but trial no.

Is there a difference between public beta and the dev builds when it comes to the carrier update?

Do the public betas come with the carrier update? Because I don't remember seeing a carrier update prior to activating wifi calling.

Yes I have unlimited talk, text and data. Not on mobile share. I have yet to see one person that has wifi calling without a mobile share plan.

Just north of Chicago and it's still not allowing me to activate. Given I live and work in a large brick building with metal interior framing, I'm always challenged for clean cell signal, so I look forward to wifi calling which should improve call quality, given I'm on a fast network.
