Apparently it does matter what type of account you have. I have been annoyed with the Premier website and iPhone app for awhile, and I'm the only person on my business account. No time like the present to switch my account to test wifi calling and also avoid imminent iPhone 6S ordering hiccups through Premier. So I just got off the phone with AT&T and switched my account to a personal account. Instantaneously, wifi calling is now working on my iPhone 6 now that my account has been switched from Premier to personal. In Chicago.

I'm guessing premier vs getting a work discount is different correct?

Not sure, I'm not an AT&T account expert. I think there are a few types of business accounts (enterprise vs small business?) that can be created. I had a business account and it was a Premier account. The "work discount" was through Premier. I remember in the past I did have a personal account (I'm pretty sure) and got a discount by providing my membership number for my local bar association. I then got a FAN associated with that account and a discount through my bar association membership. It was not a Premier account. Don't want to go off topic here, just Google search what you're looking for / types of accounts, the terminology will all come up.

What did you ask/have them do?
I just called and asked if it could be turned on for me in NYC, woman said she had to do something on her end, she came back and asked me to reboot phone and then go back into settings and turn it on. Once I did that it started working. No idea what she did from her end.

This has already come in handy starting today. I was working in the central server room where there is NO cellular signal at all, just a very good WiFi signal, and my boss was able to call me and we discussed some issues perfectly.

I'm so glad AT&T has joined T-Mobile in supporting WiFi calling! It's a total boon for those of us who work in buildings that have good WiFi but lousy cellular reception.

I'm on hold with ATT now. They didn't have VoLTE turned on, on my account. Hopefully this will allow activation......

I asked an AT&T rep about Wifi Calling and Grandfathered Unlimited plans and they said it will work and you won't have to switch to a mobile share - most likely they are holding unlimited people until they officially release it so that we dont "slow down their network"

Also, they really don't stop pushing switching to a tiered plan. Also look at the bottom, i thought that throttling **** was supposed to not happen anymore

I am not able to activate wifi calling and I am in the Bay Area. I called ATT but the support person does not know what needs to be done to enable Wifi calling. She said VoLTE is enabled for me.

I did reset network settings still no luck.

Does anyone know what needs to be on ATT side to enable wifi calling?

Did anyone got it enable in bay area (Sunnyvale, Fremont, Milpitas or Cupertino)?

Update from my post an hour ago:
Now working Woodstock, Vermont. Also with no LTE Coverage.

Had my old SIM card from my 5. Updated to a new sim card in store. The rep was blown away. VoLTE got added automatically and then after it allows me to enter my 911 address it took about 15 minutes before I could turn it on.
