i found imitation bacon bites at walgreen's. they are made of soy, and had no animal ingredients, so as curiosity i bought one pack of it (sounds gross, but wanted to try). i'll ask someone who knows (or remembers) how the real bacon tastes, and if the imitation is close enough to it. if not , i won't still try the "real thing".
