The stock built up is mad, just goes to show how many strap were being brought through them.

Now to just patiently wait for the prices to go down:rolleyes:

Yep, thought the same thing. There's a couple which I'm still after. Keep on checking the site every few days.

I wonder how long it's going to be until the new straps are on CEX. Got my eye on a couple of new ones.

Wouldn't mind the Scuba Blue or Red/Gold nylon band. I may just go and buy one full price, it's not like Apple have announced anything else worth spending money on (looking at you, theoretical Skylake MBP...).

Midnight Blue Classic Buckle I would like, also the Black Nylon one. Personally I was waiting for a new 4k Thunderbolt display. Mine is well passed grade.

I'm kind of torn on these guys. Sounds like their prices used to be lower, but their current prices are still pretty good in the US. $85 for a black classic buckle, $285 for a SS link (both 42mm). Those are just a little north of 50% less than what Apple charges. $28 for a midnight blue sport band probably isn't worth it though.

And I'm lucky enough to be about a 30 minute drive from one of their Humble, TX store. So if I wasn't happy a return could be dealt with quickly. Hmmm....

How are the quality of these bands? Are they brand new or used? Great prices! I've never heard of this place.

Most are all used, grade A being the best quality and C being the worst. I've had grade A bands that have all been used with missing parts annoyingly. Also had grade B and C bands, the grade B were noticeably worn and used and the grade C were literally something you would find in the dump(waste land).

The only problem seems to be that different stores grade things differently. My grade A leather band was still sealed, but someone I know ordered a grade A white Sport Band and it was discoloured on the bottom. It's a bit of pot luck.

All the grade A straps and bands I've bought were sealed. Others have had some issues.

Has anyone had experience with fake Milanese loop bands at all? Just brought a space black grade b for £56 I believe and I've already got doubts. As they buy it for £15, now who in their right mind would sell an £180 strap for £15 only a matter of a few weeks old. I'm worried I'm going to get a fake as some people have recieved fake link bracelets on there. How can I tell a fake Milanese loop to a real one?

The easiest way is to check for the printing on the lugs.
  1. You should see "Assembled in China" in the San Fransisco (i.e. the Apple Watch) font on one lug, on the rounded side (i.e. the bit of the lug closest to centre of the body of the watch when the strap is attached).
  2. You should see 38MM/42MM, also in the San Fransisco font, on the other lug, on the flat side of the lug (i.e. in between the Milanese mesh and the plastic/rubber bungs).
These features are laser etched on a genuine one so should be very small, crisp, and perfectly aligned.

Personally, my money is on them being fake! :)

The one I got a while ago was brand new, still in all it's Apple packaging. I couldn't believe it!

Will report back on what it's like. To be a grade b already has me thinking how can it not look brand new after a couple of weeks, thus making me believe it's fake and has worn down. Who knows, will take note of what you've said though.

I take it this is a grade A?

Yes. As I say, it was all sealed up. Even the box. I only decided to take the photo after opening the box. All the little "pull tags" where all unopened. V happy, especially as I only paid around £50-60. It's gone up now...

I bought a grade A black stainless link bracelet from them a couple months back for $225. It's definitely not a knock off as I can compare directly with my silver stainless link bracelet.

I was hesitant, too, since I've read a few horror stories, but in the end I got an Apple band in perfect condition for 1/2 the price.

Well it's been dispatched yesterday so with a bit of luck it arrives today if not tomorrow. I really hope it's genuine as it would be an absolute steal at that price. Would love the link bracelet but even £205 I can't justify

Pretty sure the prices will come back down soon as they have quite a lot of stock on certain bands.

Remember when the link bracelet was down to £105, really should have picked one up at that price, they had well over 100 of them in stock just before Christmas.

Did it arrive yet? They have one more for sale, I may buy it if yours is real.

Tracked it and it's arriving tomorrow, Unfortunately I may have to wait until Wednesday to see it as I'm busy tomorrow :(

Assuming you're on about the 38mm grade A one?

They have a few grade A nylon straps on there which again makes me think why sell them for nothing when you can return the strap? With no fakes of them floating around I wouldn't doubt they're fake so it gives me a bit of hope that the Milanese one isn't. But saying that the nylon is £39 new and cex are offering more for them used than a £180 Milanese strap, sounds bizzare.

Yeah, they are selling the nylon bands for £38 too. For a £1 extra you can buy a the the Apple Store. Do keep me posted on what happens when you get your band. Thanks

Well as predicted it's fake, I'm annoyed that cex would even pass it as an genuine Apple Watch strap. So tomorrow I'll be heading down to the store to moan and get my money back. Unsure if I'd risk trying to buy another at the moment as the chances are it's going to be a fake. So yeah at your own risk but I'm certain the 38mm one will also be a fake.

I'll wait then. Thanks so much for letting me know and sorry for your disappointment. At least the return should be easy enough judging from my own past experience.
Guess it all depends on which staff member accepts the item on that particular day. Some know stuff and others know absolutely nothing. It's up to us the consumers to stay ahead of the game. I'll be in London next week close to the particular store that has the other loop and I'll check it out. If it's fake too, I'll certainly give them some grief about it. They should try educating their staff a little more or get ones that are not tech hippies or students. I was sent a space black link bracelet once when I bought a SS one, but the return was very easy.
