Tada, my 11 pro only reached 99% after a year . I’m flabbergasted xoxo that people are calling this normal. Especially on a latest iPhone which should be efficient and 3 nanometers.

might want a replacement set

I'm at 44 cycles and still 100% health..... After my horrible experience with the 14PM I decided to use a slow charger for my 15PM overnight.... So I've never put it on a wireless charger, and I use a 5W old school small apple brick to charge it overnight to 80%.... That is sufficient for me for the day.. I usually get home in the evening with around 30-40% left...... I've fast charged it like once or twice on a weekend in pinch but thats it.

Okay? Is that a bad thing? That seens just fine for a not-brand-new phone.

As an add, I don't understand the constant battery health watching.. I didn't even look at mine until probably 9-12 months into owning it, and haven't since.

If I remember right my 12 Pro Max went to 85% in a few months after I bought if (right after release) and stayed there until now I bought 15 Pro Max so it's kind of random how battery health will do even if it now drops one percentage right away... maybe it will stay like that few years.

Mine is at 100%.

I charge when I want, sometimes multiple times to 100%, or overnight, I am mostly using the 18W chargers at home but if I am doing a lot of social media posting for work at an event I may use a powerbank to keep it topped up.

View attachment 2309622View attachment 2309621Hello, so my iPhone is already at 99% health .
I charge it always after work with my 11 pro max 18w charger and never overnight …
It’s just 27 cycles and already at 99%..
Does someone has same values ?
Did you check what was actual full charge capacity when you first got the phone?
It can vary a lot. We got 2 identical 15 PM and there is noticeable difference in battery health right from the start, even battery is Desay in both. I was disappointed to see flagship 15 PM did not come with Sunwoda battery. I never had issues with that brand battery and it always last minimum 1 year or more at or over 100% battery health. Like my iPad Air M1, I got like 15 months ago and battery health is still near 103% and battery lasts like it did when it was new.

I’m flabbergasted that someone would go looking for a replacement device when the battery capacity drops 1% in 27 cycles (which is perfectly within the normal range as was pointed out earlier in the thread).

This is why Apple didn’t make this info user-facing until they were forced to by the whole throttling thing.

At which level are you when returning from work and plugging in?

It's no secret that the last 15-20% charging put the most stress to the battery (same as going below 20%). So if you end your day at 50% there would be no pain limiting charging to 80%.

I always charge to 80% and in the evening I am between 35 and 25%. Bottom line is I use arround 50% of a charge per day.
I’m always like 50, 60 % when I plug it in …
Planning to use it at least 4 years , like my 11 pro max …

Well that's rich, assuming people replace their phones every one to two years. Let's see: iPhone 12 Pro here bought in 2020. Still using it, battery was recently replaced, plan on using the phone until it can go no more ;-)

People say “just replace your battery”.

There is another factor. Does Apple guarantee the water resistance of iPhones with replaced batteries under IP68 certification under IEC standard 60529? Likely not since they don’t warranty against water problems on the original phone. You can only get a water related replacement under AppleCare+.

That is another reason I try to maintain the longevity of the battery.

The battery health feature is just an estimation based on how many discharge cycles and how frequently you charge your phone (as well as time spent above 80% charge). It’s not a precise science, and the batteries don’t actually have a sensor in them.

35 cycles on my 15 Pro, 100% health. I charge mostly using Magsafe (Apple at work, 3rd party at night) and turned on the 80% limit soon after purchase. Power level of chargers doesn't matter, what really does batteries in is keeping them at 100% all the time or deep discharges without recharging soon after. My 2016 MBP is the only Apple product I've needed a new battery for, and it was a victim of 100% charge for a few years before I found AlDente.

How do you find cycle count? My 15PM is still at 100%. Charges mostly via MagSafe overnight but I sometimes use usbc when I’m in my living room and it’s low.

My Desay is still 103% after 23 cycles.

It is the battery lottery. You can get 100% out of the box or 102-104% out of the box.

58 cycles, charged chaotically sometimes twice a day (cos I'm also draining the battery), usually charging with the macbook charges cos it's easier. I don't charge it over night tho
But I have an automation which if it hits 50%, low power mode gets on.
Also during the night, low power mode is on

100% so far 😶‍🌫️

So I read the specs of the battery for the 15 pro is 3274mah. My 15 pro is currently @3969mah

What did you use to check the battery manufacturer?
