It's taking noticeably longer to charge my 6s+. Losing % is a given in the second year of a iphone. Come on Apple, this is way too transparent. Every year, the same thing happens. Incremental loss of %, fair enough, but why such a slow charge?

Friends on the 6s complaining their batter life has dropped substantially.

Apples fix:

Before we perform any troubleshooting, we'll want to make sure your data is safely backed up. Here's how: apple.co/1Y7vHUO Once your data is safe, let’s go ahead and reset all settings. This won't delete your content or data, but it will set most settings back to factory, and reset your background image.

To do this, tap on Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings. Once your phone powers back on, it’s a good idea to then go back through all of the settings and make them the best they can be for your battery optimization, using this article: apple.co/1WX4VNT Then, test the phone and see if it’s working better, and as you expect it should. Keep us posted, as we’ll help further if necessary.

Didn't work, iOS 10 is a bad update, basically everyone has a bad battery life on iPhone 6S/Plus . As usual they took the worst betas to create a bad update

Of course I meant the Geekbench 3 battery test people were using to compare Samsung to TSMC. They pulled battery test in GB4, therefore it's no use. You can only do it if you got GB3 while it was still available.

However, GB3 gives a very interesting battery graph. You can see that it will linger for about 12 minutes on 100%, and then go in an almost perfectly straight line to 0%.
Then i just spend my hard earn money on that piece of trash...sigh

But my friends at school have the same problem on their phones, I also read the whole forum and everyone complains because the battery sux on iOS 10
Hardly the whole forum is complaining about battery life. And you having some issues along with your friends and those complaining in the forums still represent a minute cross-section of the iOS user base. None of this is to say some people aren't having issues, but it's certainly nowhere even close to being everyone or even most people simply based on that, and so far appears no different than what things are like with pretty much any other (major) release.

Also i don't know if one of us have their own definition of battery leak on ios 10. For me is pretty much 1% each 2 minutes doing anything with the phone, perhaps for some of you that is just completely normal even better than previous ios.

These iphones feel like expensive candy, look me but don't touch me cause if you do i'm not gonna last too long.
This is not related but a few hours ago i was in a mall seeing the new Motorola phone Moto Z play....best battery ever they say (45 hours)... in the meantime i'm struggling with the iphone mmm

It's surfing porn while you're not looking

My 6S Plus (the replacement phone that is apparently about 70 days old so as near new as you can expect) is currently at 27% battery with 11hrs 35min usage off 19hrs 45mins standby. Not too shabby really.

The conspiracy theorist in me still says they build 2 year obsolescence into the batteries to make the phones perform that much worse after two years. Probably not, but I like conspiracy theories so I'm sticking to it :)

I charge mine overnight but have just achieved a huge increase in battery life by turning my mail accounts off Push and onto a 15min Fetch cycle...

To be fair, it's basically far from everyone that has a battery issue.
^ This.

We have a thread here where maybe 40-50 participated to talk about poor battery life. Don't doubt that it's true for 'some' users but let's face it, here are millions of people on iOS 10 and 50 people complaining on Mac Rumors about their battery life is a far cry from "everybody'... :D

To be fair, it does seem something is wrong but I have no idea the extent of the problem. i'm still on 9.3.5 and I'm staying there for the foreseeable future.

You're only seeing 50 people who's got a mac rumors account. I wasn't one of the "50 people" last week. I joined just to post about my battery issues. There are lots of people who wouldn't go to such lengths. A lotta people out there don't know that such threads even exist. Hell some don't even know if their battery life is bad, because they rarely check it. But the people who have battery issues, and are aware of it, are reading these threads. I know because I was one of them.

That's likely true to a good extent. Just as that there are more than likely even more people who aren't having these kinds of issues.

My battery life has improved slightly on ios 10, on my 6s plus

I literally have every battery sucking feature turned on, apart from the homekit stuff

I went from a 2 year old iPhone 6 to a new iPhone 7, and I honestly can't tell any difference in battery life. Not happy at all about this.

Update your iPhone, I will love read your future problems with your phone battery :D

Share your battery usage :)

I don't know what purpose that would serve. I'm using the exact same apps (which isn't many) on a daily basis, and i notice that I reach 50% battery life at the exact same time each work day that I did with my 6.
