I don't know what purpose that would serve. I'm using the exact same apps (which isn't many) on a daily basis, and i notice that I reach 50% battery life at the exact same time each work day that I did with my 6.

Did you restore and set it up as a new phone?

I thought I was the only one with this problem.

After the latest update, my 6+ has had horrible battery life. (ex: browsing on my phone for 15 mintues my percentage goes down 5-6% on average)

Hopefully the next update fixes this issue. I haven't changed my settings at all, but might have to for the meantime until this gets fixed.

You might want to let us know what phone you're using. It's kind of helpful in these types of discussions.

So we should update to iOS 10.1 ? I have a 6s plus too in iOS 10.0.2 and my battery life is not good.

How did you calibrate your battery after the update ?

Actually I calibrated battery before updating, as with me and other users find out that battery percentage was way off, eg it took me nearly 1hr 30 min to kill last 10% of battery, once drained and charged to 100% over night, my battery was back to normal and since updating to 10.1 it is more improvement so highly recommend to calibrate battery first and see what you get!

I ran all the iOS 10 betas on my 6s. I did notice that the GM sucked. My iPhone 7+ on 10.1 is rather good, so far, but obviously that's not a fair comparison to make!

The only problem I've had with battery life on my iPhone 7 running ios10.0.2 is the standby drain. Using the phone the battery life is pretty decent and I can get up to around 9 hours usage throughout the day if I need to where the phones switched on for say 17 hours total time (my 5s gets around 6 hours 'usage' max in comparison if I need it to last 17 hours for a full day).

The problem is when I leave it sitting there for say 3 hours connected to wifi doing nothing .. it will drain around 10%.. I find this excessive. I've tried closing all apps and turning off background app refresh completely but it's still the same. A couple of years ago so seem to remember my 5s running ios8 losing only about 1% at times in the same senario connected to wifi left on standby!

Yes standby drain (Flight mode) is horrible.

Nearly every morning (after Flight mode and no charing @Night) the phone get's off after a few seconds of using (battery around 20-50%).

Mines on standby but not flight mode .. is this draining an ios10 bug? I seem to be able to remember only losing a tiny % of battery not so long ago on previous iOS versions on my 5s

That's probably why you're getting 9 hours of usage. When you have standby battery drain, the usage goes up too. I have a 6s running iOS 10.0.2 and overnight I lose 15%, and my usage goes up by 1 hour. Pretty sure your phone's usage is going up too.

So you also have this... well I also notice battery drain at night. Usually had like 3% per night (at 9.3.2 it was even 1-2% ) now sometimes it's up to 15%. Low battery helps it, but really I don't like to switch it manually each day.
iPhone SE 10.0.2

Yeah same here. On iOS 9 it was around 2%. Very disappointed with iOS 10. Biggest mistake was updating

Well hopefully it will be fixed in a future update at least, and good to know it's an iOS issue and not my phone.

The battery drops really slowly while I'm actually doing stuff on the phone so it should be pretty decent battery life once they fix this standby drain out

My iPhone 7 standby has been awful. 3-5% drop per hour. I was on a plane for 12 hours using my iPad while my iPhone was on airplane mode and lost 20% of my battery!

Someone should make a thread about it and we should debug it or just make a big feedback spam to Apple. iOS 10 is really bugged as hell

I noticed a glitch that may not help with battery life. If you go in settings and background app refresh and alter one of the settings for an app, then go back to the main menu, then you then return to background app refresh all the apps are back to default 'on' which would eat though battery life. Not sure if returning causes this or just changing a apps setting then going back to the main menu does. I have tried this on three devices an iPhone 6s a iPhone 7 and an iPad Air 2 and all show the same behaviour.
