I bought a pair in gray to replace my AirPods Pro (which I will give to my wife). APP finally actually fit my ears decently when normal AirPods didn’t for years, but they still are always a tad loose. I find myself having to adjust them deeper into my ear periodically.

To make matters worse, the fit test has constantly said that I have poor fit and should change tips. I believe this affects their ANC ability which is important to me as I take the train 2 hours a day. I believe the fit test fails after a few months as the big black meshes get filled with gunk and improperly vent sound or affect the ANC microphones. I can do a deep clean with alcohol, cotton swabs, and sticky tape to clean these mesh areas and sometimes restore proper fit. Other than that, they work great for on the train and on and off at work.

I’m hoping the Fit Pros have the best fit, and no issues with ANC fit test failing due to sliding out or gunk in the mesh. I will definitely miss wireless charging, as it’s sooo nice to just be able to drop my case on a charger from time to time and never worry. Plugging in physically sucks. I also will miss the tiny case size of the APP, but I guess the Fit Pros don’t look too big. I had the PowerBeats pro a few years ago and that case was not pocket-able.

The night I get the Fit Pros I fly across country on a red eye flight. Should be a good test!

My AirPods Pro didn't fit well (would fall out during runs / workouts) and Studio Buds always felt a bit loose. The Fit Pro are in my ears right now and ROCK SOLID. Easily as secure as my old Powerbeats Pro. They aren't going anywhere.

Thanks for the impressions. I’m waiting patiently on Best Buy to “prepare my order for pickup.” It’s encouraging to hear the buds are secure and aren’t going anywhere! How’s the audio quality?

I'd say very similar to AirPods Pro if you have experience with them. Very balanced. I'm happy with the bass but I wouldn't call it overwhelming or even that much better than the AirPods Pro (I guess it is, but its nothing like the old Beats stuff or even the Powerbeats Pro) but I consider that a good thing. When the beat drops you still feel it but without the rest of the music getting all muddy. I think it lacks a little volume on the high end, for me it is MORE than enough including during outdoor workouts but I could see if you like to listen to buds super loud you'll need to be up past 80% on the slider...

Bottom line? It's an AirPod Pro in a better looking, extremely better fitting body for less money. It also has better battery life on ANC (6 vs 4.5). Downsides are just the slightly larger (but still easily pocketable) case that doesn't do wireless.

That’s a great review. I’ve had experience with the APPs. I tried to love them but the fit was very frustrating. The sound quality was great but it didn’t help at all that little movements would cause them to slightly move around then eventually fall out of my ear, depending on the activity. My main concern with best fit pros are fit and your review left a positive impression! I’m at Best Buy as we speak and now they are having trouble finding my order!!!!

I just got mine and need a few hours to test various uses. These are joining my lineup of AirPods Max and AirPods 3, and are replacing my Beats Studio Buds. But a few quick thoughts…
  • The grey is nice, and the case and buds feel good. I do wish I was cool enough to rock the Purple though.
  • I definitely enjoy the sound profile over both AirPods Pro and Beats Studio Buds. It’s like the took the best of both of those. Nothing is overpowering. Bass feels more alive. Spatial Audio sounds great.
  • ANC and Transparency are way better than Beat Studio Buds, and seem on par to what I remember AirPods Pro being (I don’t currently own a pair as they never fit well, but tested them several times)
  • IMO, similar to the Beats Studio Buds, content feels more dynamic and is more enjoyable to listen to with either ANC or Transparency On. Having both off is a flatter experience, though not as flat as the Beats Studio Buds.
  • The ability to swap Noise Control for Volume Controls is so freaking nice!
  • H1 pairing, syncing, swapping is magic of course
  • I passed the Ear Fit Test with the stock Medium tips, which will be more comfortable for me than the plugged up feeling larger tips can give me
  • Comfy so far, no slipping or moving or pain, but need more time!

Just picked up my Fit Pros and so far, I like. As many have already said, sound quality is great, I'd say ever-so-slightly better than the APPs. These may very well be my go-to buds while out and about. Super comfy and secure. So far, so good.

Best Buy submitted my order as ready for pickup but the buds have not arrived yet, which is weird, but I like what I’m reading so far about the buds. I can’t wait for mine to come!! *Patiently waits*

Picked up a pair for myself today. My partner’s arrive tomorrow but I didn’t want to wait to try them after watching all the reviews.

I think the highs suffer a little bit compared to AirPods Pro, the noise cancellation is a little bit weaker (particularly with wind noise) and voices in transparency mode sound slightly less clear, and they definitely feel MUCH cheaper than AirPods Pro. The Fit Pro case feels like it’ll just fall apart from looking at it.

However they are way more comfortable, mids sound better and lows/bass is deeper and clearer. I also think they look so much better. I also much prefer the button on the ear instead of a force sensor on the stem.

Overall, I prefer these over AirPods Pro. I still think there are probably reasons to get AirPods Pro (the mics are better for sure, and I think the sound is a more of a natural sound profile), but I think most people will actually enjoy the Fit Pro more.

Shame there’s no wireless charging!

Mine are ready for pickup at my local Best Buy. I really didn't need them, as I already have AirPods Pro and don't even workout nearly as much as I should, but damn that Sage Grey looks nice and I love hearing about the bass is more defined than in the APPs (I listen to a lot of hip-hop).

Got mine today.

Wow these are amazing. Only thing to be awar about is the usb c charging port wont fit some cables, its thin and recessed.

ANC , bass, fit are all A+. pleasantly surprised about how small the case is…easily pocketable.

OK I finally found this pic on 9to5Mac

Definitely bigger case than the APP and AP3 but similar to Beats Studio Buds? Just a square shape instead of an rectangle/oval.

It’s microscopically thicker than the studio buds case but bottom line is it fits in a pants pocket no problem. Well worth it for me since it fits securely.

Went for my first run… rock solid, just like the Powerbeats Pro except these are so light you barely know they are there. With transparency mode on I could hear traffic, dogs etc. and unlike the Powerbeats Pro and Studio Buds there was none of the booming echo like in a cave sound with each footfall. Really great.

I am very happy with these. I had some Beats years ago before the Apple days I got for free (I won them) and they were ok. I wouldn’t have paid for them.

One ear piece feel out because I’m not use to differ size ear tips. I think I found the right size and they fit great.

my view

AirPods OG - I like these for phone calls. I can tolerate them for long phone calls and the call quality is great. They dont stay in my ears working out, and even walking around aren't great.

AirPods Pro - Good general purpose - phone calls are good, NC and transparency is great. Sound quality is great for podcasts, YouTube etc. They fall out of my ears working out

Powerbeats Pro - These have been my gym headphones for 2 years. I love them. BUT - the case is a monster. These are relegated to the gym bag, as I can't pocket them.

Beats Fit Pro - Best of all worlds. Doubt I will be using AirPods Pro as much now. Will have to see how phone calls go, but everything else is great and the case is a reasonable size. They basically combine an A+ fit with practicality for day to day use. Just buy these, trust me.

Got a Sage Grey pair for pick up at the Apple Store.
Need more time with them, but I have some initial impressions:

  • Case is cheap/flimsy, and I wonder if it will hold up over a few years. Would've preferred a top loading design akin to the APP or Beats Studio Buds cases for less awkward access. A metal hinge with a satisfying APP *snap* would've been nice.
  • Slight learning curve for seating them properly in the ear. Though it feels strongly secure in the ear, also easy to feel like it's not sitting right... like I messed it up or something. They feel light and airy when on. Still practicing seating. The proper seating animation on the Beats site doesn't seem to translate to the real world, though everyone's ears will vary.
  • Sound is fun and pretty good. Warm V-shape sound signature with a reasonable low end focus, but not muddy. Vocals are authentically clear, rich enough for AAC codec bluetooth buds.
  • A little too easy to push the buttons while putting them on, but the button has nice play to it.
  • ANC/Transparency seems comparable if not identical to APP.
