damn i just bought IM+ on the understanding that it had proper push notifications.. which clearly it doesn't.

surely this is a case of false advertising ?

so i assume that beejive is the only one that has proper push notifications at the moment then.?

Seems that way. I bought it about 5 mins ago and it's excellent!

Question: in my gmail buddy list I have a mystery 'buddy' who I do not have listed with any other client. Who is it? When I go to delete them, they are still there...

I bought BeejiveIM when it was on sale, it's pretty good.

IM+ i bought when it was on sale to see if it was any better but i'm quite disapointed in it :(

Beejive although the Facebook implementation is buggy :( When users have logged out Beejive still shows them as logged in. Bug is still there in the new release. From what I've read IM+ doesn't have this problem.

I had problems with 3.0, so I deleted it and then sync'd it with itunes and it works for me.

dunno if that will fix the FB problem though

i did not even know about beejive till a couple of days ago. I now have it and is so much better than im+ and the push notifications are supurb. It is about time apple authorised the 3.0 release of this product as it is brilliant

Another vote for BeeJive here. Their experience is just so much more enjoyable (I have both be cause I bought IM+ 3.0 since they marketed it like they had push).

Gave them a bad review because of that. I want my money back.

The ONLY thing I like better about IM+ is you can switch between chats by flicking left to right. I wish beejive had that.

But beejive really is the better app. Better UI, settings, response time, etc.

I am too cheap to pay for IM.

I am using AIM (Free), Y! Messenger (hopefully, push version will be released soon). Could use a good free MSN client though.

I like Beejive. The appearance just looks better to me and I like how smooth it is switching between chats. It feels as if it was made by Apple.

I hate IM+'s KDE linux-esque icons and color schemes.

I love BeeJive's sleek GUI and speed. It's very iPhone.

is the push sound notification the same across the board? it's just not loud enough for me, any one know of a way to change it?

Actually IM+'s push supporting release isn't out yet. Don't let them confuse you with the email notifications. Beejive has that too. IM+'s push supporting version is in review still.

You do know that Beejive is now 3.0 and have been senesce yesterday... It has REAL PUSH..

You do know that both IM+ and Beejive are now 3.0 and have been senesce yesterday... They both have REAL PUSH..

IM+ doesn't have push yet, it just has 3.0 compatibility. It says right on the app page that 3.1 brings push and is still under review.

I am trying to decide as well. I really want Beejive, but (I know this is a strange request) could somebody please post up a picture of what is under the "More..." tab? I really want to just see it. Before I buy the app.

beejive FTW.
The interface is great. It is fast as can be.
I tryed im+ the free version and if they are the same except for adds i will go with beejive hands down.

I was hesitant at first to buy it, but I eventually mustered up the courage to shell out the ten bucks, and I'm completely satisfied. It's really the best 10 bucks I've ever spent on software on the iPhone. If you need an IM client, this is the perfect one.

It's fast, pretty, easy to use, and it's just full of functionality. You won't regret it.
