Also, IM+'s UI looks like a crayon-wielding chimp had a heart attack.

Best comment ever. That's fantastic.

I actually JUST bought BeeJive (literally five minutes ago) and while I was defending IM+ in past discussions, I have to admit that BeeJive is definitely nicer. And the amount of options compared to IM+ is staggering.

The only gripe I have (and would like to solve) is I'm getting double messages from Facebook. Every single message sent to me pops up twice. I can't figure out why.

Anybody have any ideas?

Also, I've noticed that I can't see my AIM contacts in any of the IM programs. I've tried IM+, Beejive, and AIM (Free Version). I'm still getting messages on the AIM service but unless somebody sends me a message, they're not on my buddy list.

BeeJive. They got their act together with their servers and its bee great. The next update will be welcome also :)

Nothing on the double Facebook messages huh?

Actually, that bug not only happens to Facebook but also to my Yahoo! IM, so I think it's on Beejive's side. Happens when I'm offline, person sends one IM, I run the app, boom 2 messages receive (both the same but only sent once)

why dont my friends or my avatar pic show in Beejive & IM+??

does anyone else have this problem?

the pics show fine in the free yahoo messenger app

I would have to say IM+. I have both, and IM+ just seems easier and nicer to use. Plus, it has Twitter integration with Push for @replies and DMs. So you can IM and tweet at the same time without having to use two programs.

IM+ just went on sale $4.99

if you were on the fence like i was...get it!.

I am having these apps go head to head!

i don't see the need to have twitter on an IM client when there are plenty of apps that do it a lot better (tweetie for example)

if i want FB i can use the FB app too

Beejive is a lot nicer to play around with IMO, and I have both (bought them both on sale), wish I hadn't bought IM+ tbh

Annoyances with beejive

-contact list isnt updated-lots of friends offline when BJ has them being online
-push doesnt allways work

another thing, I have facebook running on my PC showing me as online pretty much allday, now when I log into BJ then back to FB on my PC I have to sign in again-anyone else have this problem?

Beejive gets my vote. My friend has IM+ and wishes he had never bought it. I have Beejive and am very happy with it. Works fine for me.

Yeah my facebook sometimes does that. I have many contacts on my MSN account, sometimes becomes a bit sluggish. Overall impressed by beejive IM.

I found that sometimes if i just lock the phone on the chat window, then push doesn't work, you have to exit the program to let it work properly.

This thread should be a POLL !;)

Why does it mix up your online and offline friends an no search? Would be better if you had online contacts seperated from away and offline ones.

i use AIM the most and since i have had so many issues with Beejive i bought aim pro the other day and i have now been loged in for 1 day and 2hrs i was lucky to get 10hrs with beejive, the Aim pro version also has landscape. If you mainly use AIM i would highly recomend AIM PRO

I agree. I don't understand why some people seem to be having problems. I had the typical problems right after they updated to 3.0 (facebook wasn't working, yahoo wouldn't log in, etc), but all of those were reported on their site and quickly resolved for me.

I've been using it daily, logged in 24-hours/day, just fine for a while now.

I just had to delete Beejive and reinstall to get rid of a badge that wouldn't go away. The IMs were pushed to me and I dismissed them. When I went in to respond to them, they never showed up in the conversation. No matter how many times I signed out/in or opened the conversation and reloaded the badge never went away.

This isn't the first time this has happened either. I like the interface of Beejive a thousand times better than IM+ but I never had problems like this with that app. Hope it gets fixed.

Edit: Okay this is total bull****. After deleting and reinstalling, the badge is still there. There isn't even any accounts added yet. Therefore no chats. How can there be four messages waiting for me if I don't have any contacts?

What a crock.

yeah, BeeJive is pretty all around great. the only site i ever had issues with was Facebook. buti had ~7 other accounts running smoothly... so all in all BeeJive FTW

IM+ kind of sucks.. i tried it out for a while but always went back to BeeJive

I have it and it's worth every bit of the 10 bucks it costs.

I'm having a problem with myspace though. Seems that I can see the contacts, but they can't send me anyhing via Myspace. And they can't see what I send them.

Anybody else having this problem?

I love IM+ more then Beejive because it's easier to use and i like the slider buttons.
