I have Beejive and I enjoy it very much but I have a question for those that have both: Does IM+ consume less battery? Cause Beejive seems to kill my battery when I use it.

I think the battery drainer here is the Push Notifications. When i had them on, the battery would die quickly... As soon as i turned them off, man i've been easy 1-2 days without charging the phone. In fact, I still have 26% left on the battery, my usage is 5h and 12m with 1 day and 8 hrs stand by.

I prefer Beejive myself. Lately though I have a few gripes. Deleted contacts still appear in Beejive, but not in Adium or Yahoos application. Beejive doesn't seem to update it's Facebook contact list very often, as I have new friends that don't show up, and deleted ones that still do.

You know what I find funny. Since IM+ has become $10.99, it has fell from #4 or #5 on the Top Paid Apps for Social Networking to #14.

IM+ is on sale again $4.99!!

for twitter push notifications and a good IM app this is a must buy.

I have both Beejive and IM+ and i have stopped using Beejive at this point because IM+ does all i need in one app.

Does Beejive have landscape keyboard? A lot of chat apps claim it, like ebuddy, but they don't work. How are Beejive's notifications if I'm in another app? It seems like most people like the new Beejive, although it crashes sometimes, but there isn't much detail on why.

Here is what I'm looking for:
1. Use google chat and AOL
2. landscape keyboard
3. able to see my chats if I come back into the app from somewhere else
4. good, fast notifications of chats (not by email) when I'm in another app

Will Beejive give me all of that? Thanks for the help.

BeejiveIM does EVERYTHING you just mentioned. Go get it, you won't be disappointed.

beejive

IM + was a very basic IM app in its early days. Beejive had no REAl competition back then and its still the best in my opinion.
I guess IM plus is getting some attention now.
Either way i think IM plus just is a knock off of beejive.
I cant believe it copied the wallpaper feature of beejive....

I bought beejive last weekend, and im very very impressed with it, only use it for facebook, msn, and aol.

only niggle i have is blocking contacts or deleting them dosent work for me with msn accounts.

but its a very polished app that hasn't shown any of the previously mentioned faults as of yet to me

As the topic starter I went for the Beejive, which was probably a big mistake. Sometimes it works fine, but I´ve had more bugs with it than any of my numerous apps on the iPhone. So couple of times I´ve seen red and smoke has come out from my ears.

So my conclusion would be, the Beejive makers are amateurs and the price is way too high, so their robbing off people. Infact the price should be 0$, because even the Fring is better and it is free.

But I still hope they´ll get their act together soon and give me some quality for my money!!!!!

It's working fine here, I suggest you do a restart of your iPhone after installing apps. I've been with Beejive since they released it and I'm highly satisfied with their app.

I didn't try Beejive yet, but I've been using IM for some time and I always have problems when using skype ans msn. Sometimes I can't login for days.
