In a van down by the river
Reviews are still showing that they crack after a couple days on the Apple website. Anyone noticing this or needed replacement shortly after purchase and install?
If I remember correctly. one forum member had his crack after a few days. I haven't seen anymore such posts. I have had mine on since launch day and no problems thus far, outside of not being able to get it registered with Belkin, since the iPhone X option isn't listed on the drop down menu. Got in contact with Belkin on Twitter and was told to DM my contact detail so that customer service could get in touch with me. Has been 24 hrs and no contact, yet.

I have had mine since launch day with zero issues. It has been in pants pockets, jacket pockets, my daughters have played with it, still looks perfect.

Is anybody experiencing pink hue on the sides of the display with this screen protector? I can only see it on white background... hopefully it’s not my screen that’s defective:-/ I’m not able to catch it with my camera.

I’m guessing it’s when you have the phone tilted a bit. That’s caused by the edge of the glass protector refracting the light from the edge of the screen. I get a pink or green colour when I tilt my screen too much.

It’s normal.

This is crazy expensive and the reviews are horrid. This thing breaks without being dropped and you are out $40
I got the protector installed by Apple for my iPhone 7 Plus and broke without being dropped. All of the sudden, it had a shattered line. Then, I replaced it with anti glare one and had Apple installed. It worked very well. Never had any problems. Since then, I never consider the InvisiGlass anymore. I do not recommend anyone purchasing Belkin InvisiGlass. Buy the anti glare one, which is cheaper and durable.

With paying $40 is there any sort of warranty with it from Apple?

There is a warranty from Belkin. They'll send you a new one if it breaks. Not sure how many times, I think it's once over the course of a year.

Mine is still in good shape a week later. I did accidentally back-flip my phone onto my laptop, and it landed on the screen (protector). It's fine.

I've installed probably 50-60 glass screen protectors over the past 5 years (using bathroom steam process) and typically it takes 2-3 tries to get a pristine install (I have real OCD). The X is far worse because the notch makes any otherwise unnoticeable misalignment painfully obvious (rainbow effect).

I tried 4 of the best protectors on delivery day and even using the install alignment tools, it was never "perfect". Went to the Apple Store and had them install a Belkin. Before he gave it back to me, I noticed a small dust spot so had him do another. That had a chipped edge so had him try again. The third one was perfect and has been for the past week I've had it. Smoother than most, soft edges, and no issues thus far.

My preorder switched from Dec 6 to next week. I can’t decide if I want to cancel or give it a try. Maybe the new batch will be better he said hopefully.

Seems like some have had good luck

Silly question but does the Belkin screen protector still fit if you have a case on with it? For instance, a speck presido case? Or would the additional glass on top cause an issue? anybody know?

I‘ve got a Tech 21 Evo Check an it fits perfectly. Guess it‘s just the same with a Speck case.

Can anyone do like a before and after and tell me if the protector increases glare/reflectivity of the screen, or if it’s virtually as if there was nothing on top of the screen at all?

I posted this on the
iPhone X Screen Protectors/Skins [MERGED]
thread:

I had the Belkin InvisiGlass Ultra Screen protector installed with the machine at the Apple Store this morning. Lined up perfectly and no bubbles or dust. I don’t know why the rating and reviews are so bad on this one. It’s a great matte screen protector that serves its purpose.

I got one of these installed on my 7+ and after about three weeks the screen protector shattered after a very minor hit from my belt buckle - it was more of a tap - I thought for sure the apple store would get me a new one as it was brand new - wrong! they said it was past 14 days so I had to buy another one- be advised they do shatter very easy.

Does Apple install it for free on the spot?

Yes.

The screen protectors have a lifetime limited warranty, so you should of requested a replacement from Belkin. I believe that’s how it works with the warranty on non Apple products that are sold through Apple.

It's not quite for free. The glass on its own is was around £20, and I forget how much they charged me but it was maybe £5 more for them to install it

Yes.
