You just have to wait years for Apple to acknowledge the issue, well worth the wait right?

Anecdotally, the issues I've had sorted by Samsung were done promptly and without issue or payment, sorted within weeks.

So, which phone, in your opinion, is the best alternative to the iPhone, Robster?
Weeks lol, i can get a iPhone replacement sent overnight or 2.

Could fill this whole thread with missteps from Samsung and other companies, if you enjoy using android Phones that’s fair enough, been there done that, nothing much has changed for me when it comes to android, my opinion I still think iOS is miles ahead. ?‍♂️
Now you're getting it...kinda have to walk you down the path a bit...

But they all have misteps... all of them.

But you are here apologetically making excuses for Apple extoling how much better they are than everyone else.
The rest of us are saying they make the same amount of mistakes as everyone else.

The logo doesn't blind us like it does for you.

Oh yeah! It totally fits doesn't it. I mean you can't make this stuff up...

Someone says this

All I gotta do is show them this....Prime Time!

Keep showing me that Magic Mouse, can’t be bothered for these games lol, can show you a whole thread full of Samsung failed products, no point continuing talking to you about this topic, we both have different opinions when it comes to certain companies and that is fine, not everyone is going to see eye to eye on everything.

just go into the iPhone threads....there are a TON of problems there.
The magic mouse directly contradicts everything you said.....and proves my point to a tee

But this is you when it comes to Apple...

I have one and can't even remember last time i charged it, they make out like you have to charge it everyday lol.
I have an MX Master and can't remember when I last charged that either. The difference is I can plug a cable in and keep using it.

Also, who are "they"? The people who actually want to discuss alternatives to iOS in an "Alternatives to iOS" forum or the people who want to constantly and rabidly slobber over everything Apple does, no matter what?

One account ?

Best alternative hey ? at the moment none, maybe one day if google works out which direction they’re going in, one minute flagship processors next minute mid range processors ?‍♂️ One minute face unlock similar to Face ID next minute gone, ?‍♂️

Haven’t updated their camera sensors in years, falling behind the completion.

A pixel 5 in Australia is $999 not wort the price for what you get. Google has a track record of not seeing things through.

A lot of people say pixel is the closes experience to a iPhone, if only they knew which direction they’re going in, not interested in mid range processors and poor build quality at crazy prices.

So in the meantime for me there is no best alternative to a iPhone, maybe in the future that will change. ?‍♂️

Perhaps you should do a bit of research on why the Pixel camera sensor is the same?

What’s with the post processing lag after taking a photo, takes a while to process the full image after taking a photo, that because of the processor?

Hey did you find out if IOS 14.5 will fix your green tint on your iPhone 12?
Apparently it has for most people, took apple till August to fix the green tint issue on the 11s last year, will be fixed eventually. ?

Not that big of a issue, rarely happens on my unit, happened twice, haven’t seen it happen again.

Can‘t wait for apple to ditch Samsung and start making their own oled panels. Won’t have issues like this anymore.

Apple? Make their own oled panels?
Apple don't make anything, it'll be LG, BOE or Samsung, probably whomever can make it to their standard in quantity for the lowest price.
It won't be Apple, they outsource manufacturing.

Pixel photos are overrated, mainly because famous tech youtubers are praising it all the time. In the end, all flagship phones have great cameras. It boils down which algorithm of image processing you like, be it Google, Apple, Samsung, etc.

If you want to enjoy the latest camera hardware, forget the Pixel. Google is putting all their eggs in the software, on their machine learning and image processing. Upside is they can cut cost by not needing the latest hardware, but downside is that they lag behind in supporting new tech (like multiple cameras). And although the photos look pleasing to some, the over processed sharpness still feels artificial.

Samsung, meanwhile, is embracing the bleeding edge hardware tech from high res sensors, periscope zoom, etc. Made sense since Samsung also makes camera sensors. Downside is that the image quality can be inconsistent, but imo closer to real life and what traditional digital cameras would be.

And then there’s Apple. Imo Apple is still the one that marry the best combination of camera hardware, the ISP, and the software, to provide consistent quality, be it in photo or video. iPhone photos might not be pleasing to some, nor close to real life in another, but the presentation are the most consistent across the board, and for many people, that’s what they’re looking for.

How do you know it was a Samsung display?
.Good thing Apple thought this whole thing out years in advance and tested it. Because we all know you said many times how they are the best in business.

Then to be clear the green tint issue on Apple displays is a software issue not a hardware issue. If it was hardware then a software update would not fix it now would it.....

Know 100% mine is a Samsung display ?

There is a way to find out.

Samsung had the same issue last year with their s20 line up.

Like I said previously the 11s green tint wasn’t fixed till August, but eventually got fixed.

If it’s a hardware issue, Samsung will be paying apple back a lot of dollars

Either way it’s fixed for some, it’ll be fixed for the rest soon.

If you’re that concerned about it, maybe sell your phone ?

Absolutely, the best point and shoot camera in the business 9 times out of 10 you end up with a great photo, Dolby vision video recording on the 12s is awesome and in a league of its own, best video camera in the business.

Oh I am not concerned about it. But you keep saying how perfect apples hardware and software is yet your iPhone has green tint. The green tint is not a hardware issue or else they would have to replace every phone with green tint. But instead it is fixed with a software update. That issue is all on Apple. You can't fix a hardware issue with a software update lol

Again is shows you have no idea what you are talking anout

Going in circles again, think what you want lol, to me nothing at the moment comes close to iPhone. Pretty weird that the s20s had the same issue, now iPhones with Samsung panels are having the same issues 2 years in a row, looks like apple has to fix Samsung’s problems.

seems to me that you don’t know what you’re talking about. ?‍♂️

Seems you’re the type of person trying to get a reaction out of me, so you can get me banned lol.

Not falling for your games again, won’t be replying to you anymore, enjoy your s21U hopefully you don’t have to many headaches down the road. ?

Not going in circles at all...Just bringing to light your hypocrisy.
Show everyone how you know nothing about what you talking about using your own words.

It is very evident from other peoples reactions to your postings just how hypocritic and apologetic for Apple you are.
You have no credibility in the Alt section.

Then just looking at your post history, you spend so much time in the Alt section talking about Android phones that you hate. It really says allot about you....

This is 100% accurate. The highs on the Samsung are much higher but less consistent. Sometimes you need to take multiple photos to get that perfect one.

Back on the topic:
I'd say best alternative to iPhone SE for example is Samsung Galaxy A71. It has a much better camera, night mode, awesome battery life and supports 5G. Unfortunately it doesn't have wireless charging nor is waterproof.

Also, in my country they sell a lot of Chinese phones. Huawei is really big over here and I remember I used $100 Huawei for a year and it wasn't that bad. It's amazing that nowadays everyone can get a good smartphone for cheap. Back in 2010 cheap Android phones were complete junk.

Oppo has great phones as well

Another shout out for Oppo here. They make superb devices. I recently picked up an Oppo Find X2 Neo for £389 from Amazon UK and it is just inconceivable that you can buy a phone as good as this for less than an iPhone SE 2020 with a seven year old design.

5G, 12 GB RAM, 256 GB storage and a gorgeous, eye-popping 90 Hz OLED screen. Charging is crazy fast and the build is superb, all metal and glass. But the real killer feature at this price point are the cameras, complete with Oppo's outstanding AI.

I'm not kidding when I say it takes flagship level photographs and you get ultrawide, standard and optical zoom to boot, all with OIS (including for video). On top of that, there's a 2-year UK warranty.

The Android midrange really is full of fantastic devices these days.
