My experience with Best Buy shipping has usually been two days for delivery, so imagine they should have been shipped out today.
I know whenever I purchase anything from best buy they will ship a day BEFORE the scheduled delivery date all depends on location
2 days if you live far from a center, 1 if you’re near one. I always notice it go out the day before delivery and I’m in Southern California. Same applied to my Apple Watch series 4. Got my note one year on release date as well. Certain people have had a bad experience with them in the case of a Friday delivery.. however it’s mid week release and it’ll have enough time to reach people and not hit that Saturday and Sunday dead bump. And as much as people want the iPad, it’s not an iPhone. It’s not nearly as sold out on BestBuy.com, or other third party carriers right now as the iPhone XS was or X last year.
When I ordered my 2018 MacBook pro a few months ago it shipped from Visalia, received it the next day so yes for SoCal its one day

No movement on mine yet but I imagine they'll ship out overnight tomorrow. The order text says "Get it by Wed, November 7" which implies it will arrive on that day.
Is Visalia the main store or something, I had to get a replacement MacBook pro and it also shipped from Visalia(Always Ontrac, don't get me started on them)
That really sucks. Usually UPS here. It's really annoying, I loved ontrac, they were the only ones that arrived early and at like noon.. Then Amazon started using them more recently, the first one was 8pm, and last week it was 5:30pm. I'm beginning to understand why people hate them.
Ontrac lost my 2nd MacBook pro 2018(First one came damaged box) 3rd one came fine I was home and made sure to have it handed to me. The 2nd one they said it was delivered even though it wasn't, finally turned up the next day the box looked tampered with so I sent it back, was given a gift card from best buy for all the hassle
My order has said preparing for a couple of days. It does show ready for pickup 11/7. That’s all that matters.My in store pickup is “Preparing”
An advantage of buying at BB right now is that their holiday return policy is in effect. So buy now and you have until late January (or for Elite Plus members you have until February 11) to return. WAY BETTER than what Apple offers, plus, you have 18 month no-interest financing, if you would rather use someone else's money for 18 months.

My in store pickup is “Preparing”
Mine is too, plus I got an alert from my CC company saying BB charged the card, so shipping is happening.
Unfortunately, I believe that does not apply for cellular models. They fall under the normal carrier 14 day return period with a $45 restocking fee if opened.
Back when I ordered, none of the stores (and there are about a dozen in our county) were available for store pickup. Only shipping. I'd so rather pick it up at the store at my convenience (10:01AM), than wait around all day for the courier to finally get around to me.

Yes, you are punished for purchasing the cellular version. Between the ridiculous carrier prices for tablet plans, and the fact I always have the hotspot on my iPhone when there isn't WIFI (which is rare), I personally don't really have the need for the cellular version.
But for everyone else, BB has the best return policy right now.
