I thought about the folio as well but i have no interest in hiding the back and sides of the phone 24/7. Also, I had an LV folio for my 6+, it didn't protect the front screen when i dropped it (many times). The folio opens and the weight of the phone causes it to land face first in most cases, so keep that in mind.

I will keep that in mind, I currently use one of Apple’s silicone case’s for my 7 Plus and it’s been great so I might just get another one of those, or a clear case from Amazon.

How is full coverage screen protector? will stick on the edge around? my experience is not good with 6
depends on the brand. I used a moshi on my 6+ and while it looked/felt great, the thing cracked so easily that I wouldn't even have to drop it for it to start cracking. Just enough pressure and you'll see spider webs all over the glass.

I've used edge protection screen protectors on my iPhone 7 plus and they were excellent.

The only thing is you have to be careful with the kind of cases you use because it might not fit over the screen protector.

Caudabe Lucid owners/enthusiasts:

QUESTION:

On a silver X, I am considering the lucid clear or the silver lucid clear, what are the pro/con of one over the other? It appears the silver lucid clear has silver in the band and a clear back, the other one is all clear, doesn’t show the Caudabe name and doesn’t have the lines in the lower portion of the case, which from the picture does not look appealing? I “THINK” the clear would be the obvious choice, thoughts?

I have the silver lucid clear and will be ordering the silver X. I posted the pics quoted below a few pages back. The silver has some chrome-effect lines on the back which I'm hoping will cover the E.U. regulatory info! :D The logo is on the back, rather than the side as on the clear version.

Use the code MacMike2017 to get a 25% discount on any Caudabe products. :)

Here's a couple of photos of mine. I must say, I don't see how it can protect from a 6ft drop being only plastic and it does feel quite slippery to me. I may invest in something a little more protective just in case.... View attachment 725331 View attachment 725332

The clear one has a clear back. The silver has silver ridges across the bottom 1/3 of the back.

Clear still has the caudate logo on the side (see my earlier pics)

Wow a whole collection of cases before even knowing if you get to pre-order one lol. What if the rumors are true and you can't get one till January or something?

Well I'm going to ordering exactly at 12:01am pst so I'm confident I'll have an iPhone x on November 3rd.

You and about another million people worldwide! I like your confidence tho.

Well even if I have to wait past November 3rd, at least I'll have cases ready when I do get it. Ive done this for my previous iphones. I buy all my cases before I even get the phone.

Just got my Caudabe Lucid Clear, case is great, nice and thin.

For those worried about how thin these are, I have the same case for my 6 and have dropped it countless times for the whole 3 years I've had it and it's never been damaged once, even the case shows no scratches. I was a serial case changer, couldn't stick with one for longer than 2 weeks but as soon as I used a Caudabe I've never taken it off.

Received my ringke cases - air and fusion. Comparing to the spigen they are very similar but generally slimmer.

Ringke fusion / spigen hybrid - both hard back with TPU sides. Height seems about the same but the spigen seems about 2mm wider. And considering the X is already wider than the standard iPhone that may make a difference. Also less branding on the ringke - both have a logo on the side but the ringke’s is smaller. The spigen also has ‘air cushion technology’ engraved on the top edge

Ringke air/spigen liquid crystal - again the spigen is larger - I’d estimate 75mm wide vs 73 for the ringke. Height 247mm spigen, 245mm ringke. Both feel similar but the ringke slightly softer. Spigen has air pockets in the corners but the ringke doesn’t

I think if you were going for a slim/soft case the ringke air may be a good option - assuming you want as slim as possible. If you want a hybrid with a hard back then both ringke and spigen seem pretty close

I have 5 now :p

And they’re all basically the same - different variations of slim clear cases. Some TPU, some hybrid, some polycarbonate. They’re cheap enough that I just want to feel them in my own hands as they can be such a personal thing
