Lots of good talk about the Caudabe Lucid case, but can someone speak about the "grip-ability" of it? I've always used the Apple silicon case mainly because I like the grip. Afraid a clear plastic case will be too slippery. Thanks!!

Anyone run a Nomad leather case instead of the Apple leather one? I just can't stand the bottom opening on the bottom of the Apple one.

As mentioned though we may need it this time for the swipe up for home button on X. All Apple cases seem to.

Ended up ordering something from Snakehive, mainly because it seems different from what I’ve had previously and although it’s not leather I’ll see how I find it once it arrives.

They have a few different offerings and the prices are really good imo:- https://www.snakehive.co.uk/collections/apple-iphone-x-cases

I ordered a Diztronic TPU case. I've used this case for several iPhone generations. It's fairly minimal, but it's still saved me the few times I've dropped my phones, which I inevitably do. The branding is pretty plain, which is a big deal for me. It's just on the side in a shinier texture, so I never really even see it. The lighter colors do start to show wear, but for $10 a case, I don't mind replacing it.

edited to add: This case is fine if you want a cheap knock around, but unfortunately, it's not going to be my daily case. There's too much space for the ring/silent switch for stuff to get stuck inside, and the volume buttons have slits in them. The older cases were awesome, but I can't say the same for this one.

I really hope this is just like the iPhone 7 version. The 7+ and 8+ were really bad IMHO. This was one of my favorite cases on the 7 and pretty much used it only.

Take a look at the Patchworks Level IGT for a few bucks more.

For 6S Plus...

Otter Symmetry:
Easy to slide in and out of pocket, great protection, no grip, impossible to use buttons, numbed my pinky...uncomfortable for more than a minute...nightmare for more than 10 minutes. It also increased width and weight to levels that further make it more unwieldy to hold.

Speck Candyshell:
Not easy to slide in and out, decent protection, grip, buttons easier to use, numbed my pink a little less, increased width and weight a bit less...looks balls compared to the OB.

Spigen Ultra Hybrid:
Easy to slide, minimal protection, strange greasy back no matter how much I cleaned it or my fingers, very easy to press buttons, destroyed my pinky, the naked back look's unsettling to me.

Official Apple Silicon:
Essentially zero protection compared with the above but much less chance of dropping due to grip, size, shape, etc, not easy to slide in and out, gathers dust, DOES NOT NUMB PINKY!!! Buttons very easy to press, looks great, again, protection may be an issue in the long run.

I'm going to snag the symmetry again and the leather and the silicon apple case. Once those are in the trunk, I'll browse this forum and your posts for hours and hours on the X until I find 4 more to order so she has a different outfit every day.

Every day? Man I'm glad 1 case is all I need.

Well, if you're changing them that often, many reports say the Apple cases will inevitably wear on the lower corners, probably sooner than later. You've been warned. :D

I wish I knew how this will work so I could just order an Apple case and be done with it.

It looks like it will work with any case as Apple now has the Otterbox and Tech21 on their site. But that doesn't say that it wont be a huge pain to work with.

Will the Caudabe Lucid Clear turn yellow after a while? And will dust slip between the case and phone very easily?
Now I have a cheap silicon case around my iPhone 7 (comparable to the Lucid Clear) but it turned yellow and I got spots on the back of my SG iPhone 7 because of dust that creeped into my case.

I love the Zoogue TPU cases, benign, minimalistic, and good side grip.

Anyone know of a similar case?

I ordered the Luvvit clear Grip and the Patchworks Level ITG because they were $4 from slickdeals and why not.
