Have you checked out the Olixar glass screen protectors? Some good reviews on them I’ve just ordered it from amazon you get 2 for £19.00

I've had such good luck with the Tech Armor type films, I haven't looked into glass protectors in some time. A few years ago they were a bit thick and very apparent on the phone, that's why I've preferred the "plastic" film type, they're almost invisible, and so cheap, you can replace whenever you want.

Thanks for the recommendation though, I'm not totally committed to staying with this style, so always interested in alternatives.

This came today, although I don’t know what the hell a “NEW iPhone 5.8” 2017” is...

They probably printed out their boxes long before they knew the name of the phone so they just referenced the screen size.
[doublepost=1509554905][/doublepost]I just picked up my first official Apple Leather case today.

I'd been a Spigen fan for years and three previous iPhones, but I wasn't particularly impressed with their new Liquid Air case for the X. Button cutouts are poorly designed. Their Neo Hybrid cases seem well designed if you need some additional protection, though.

Plus, it seems the new X gestures (especially swiping down from home to enable reachability) are really going to reward cases that keep the lower lip of phone exposed, at least towards the center where the gesture bar is located.

Would you trust your $1000+ phone with a cheapie?
Who cares. TPU/silicone it TPU/silicone. More expensive does not always mean better by a long shot; and may in fact be made by the same factory in China and you're paying for the name stamped on it.

Hi guys

I wanted to ask for some case recommendations for the iPhone X (picking mine up on Saturday!!)

I adore the silicone cases, but personally cannot pick between the black and (PRODUCT) red colours. Anyone have some opinions?

I will leave a poll down below, I am interested to know what people are thinking...

Red, the black will show finger grease and dust like crazy

My apple leather case was delivered yesterday like every year but now coming to the realization that my son has a love for iPhones too and seeks mine out like he's in a desert looking for water and promptly digs what ever teeth he has right into the case so I am thinking that something other than leather might be better this time around.
I do like the thing ones here but can they withstand a fall?

Do you think the Spigen slim fit would scratch the phone as it's a hard plastic? Been debating that vs. something flexible like the Liquid Crystal but was concerned about the discoloration.

Yes.

It didn’t stratch my 7 plus but the bezel is coated.

The case is coated as well so it actually feels like a soft plastic. Not sure if that’s politically correct lol

The iPhone bezel is stainless steel so it will probably show microscratches more in line with the SS watches.

Yes. I found it in a local store. Clas Ohlson

Best Buy is stocked with them.

Here is the Patchworks Chroma Series case in Silver/Grey ($5 via coupon on SD). Nicely made and feels good in the hand.

Reminds me of the Incipio Dualpro Case.

Here are close look of 5 different apple cases, 2 leathers (Red, Saddle Brown) and 3 Silicones (Ultra Violet, Rose Red, Dark Olive).
The Dark Olive arrived earlier than they original stated, however, the color is off compare to the website, I can barely see and tone of green. A little disappointed with it, but other colors look pretty good.
I also have the Hoco replica leather ones I just received, will upload pictures or videos soon.
I REALLY wanted the olive green case but after this video, it really unsold me on the color. Looks very muted/grey. ANyone else get it?

Yeah, I bought one for the 8 plus. Looks very bland in person.

The Apple cases are soooo much nicer than the cheapo ones. Not even close. Have you never held/seen one? You get what you pay for. These other cases on here look terrible. I’ve bought probably 50 cases in the last 10 years, and don’t understand why anyone would skimp on a case after dropping 1k on a device. Seems kind backwards.

They don't seem very protective so I worry.

The Apple cases are great if you drop your phone once or twice a year. Any more than that you should have more protection.

Im looking for a bumper type case.. What do you guys think of this case?

Check out Power Support in a month or so, they're slow. They had a decent bumper for the iPhone 7.
