I actually thought very hard about one of these before buying another Evutec. My problem was that I didn’t particularly want exposed buttons and bottom. And then cost, so expensive and car vent holder cost extra. Definitely a nice case and i may still pick one up but bang for buck definitely goes to Evutec. They claim it’s Kevlar, too

I ordered the Catalyst Impact Protection Case. I really like it. The rotating mute switch is pretty cool. The case is very slim for an impact type case. It feels very comfortable in the hand. Highly recommended!

I recently bought the Caudabe Veil XT for the iPhone X. Overall really like the case; the grip is fantastic. I have encountered once issue though. I have two phones, one for work and one personal. The work phone is an iPhone 6s. I have had a terrible time finding a screen protector for the 6S that does not have the ghost ring around the edges. I have an old (personal) 6S and the screen protector is great on it, but my current work phone has a differently shaped screen or something. I have been through about 9 screen protectors on it trying to find a good one, without luck. Long story short, I ran it screen protector-less for a few days. The ridge around the camera on the Caudabe Veil has scratched the tar out of the screen on my 6S. It has also scratched the (imperfect) glass screen protector I am currently running.

This is not a reflection on the Caudabe case, but rather a warning, not to carry two phones stacked if you are running the Caudabe Veil XT. This has only been from carrying the phones stacked, in my hand, not in a pocket or anything like that.

I bought a few cases, among others, I got a VRS Design all-black case, a Tech21 Evo case, a Midnight Blue Silicone Apple case, and my current favourite, the Rhinoshield Mod case of which I posted two images below. I did not expect the full-display screen protectors to work with it, but they do. I feel better having a full-on protection.

The screen protector is by G-Color.

Does this case make the phone feel really wide?

Tonight I picked up

https://www.evutec.com/aer-series-karbon-black-for-iphone-x-afix-included.html

Really like this case. Last weekend got the Ballistic Nylon version from Target and this one this weekend. Buttons excellent, good figment, not overly bulky nor minimal, I LOVE their included vent mount as it actually stays in my vent of car. It’s actually not very slick either, matte back and no fingerprints.

Have the same case. Inside of it will leave hairline scratches on the metal edges of the iPhone.

Resigned to keep using it as I also love the mount and feel of the case.

Not at all, in my opinion. However, I also use the iPhone 8+ and have used the iPhone 7+, so I'm quite used to wide phones and thus I'm likely the wrong person to answer that question, so take my word with a grain of salt.

I’d agree honestly. The Mod doesn’t make phone feel any wider than any other case on the market for X to me either.

Thanks. I think I’ll pick one up. The protection on those things are crazy for such a small case. I like the grippy plastic back and the fact that I can swap the buttons to be red. Also the reviews say the buttons are great.

Side note: I like the incipio duo pro that I have on currently. Finger print magnet though. Buttons are pretty good and protection seems good. Supposed to be 10ft.

As long as you don’t have to deal with Evolutive Labs customer support you’ll be alright. I do not like how bottom slightly bows on it. Don’t have a pic at moment and not horrible but... definitely has more lip on bottom than some of the others I have. I have the black back for mine, button kit, camera lens ring and a lens, and a white rim thing(I like to use black bumper, white ring thing and white buttons on my SG).

Haven’t heard about the bow in any reviews so whenever you get a chance please send a pic. Is the only difference between the mod and the crash guard the modularity? I think some reviews mentioned the mod is redesigned in quite a few ways compared to the crash.

Hard to explain but bottom does not quite sit right. Next time I put it on I’ll snag pics. My Crashguard id say fits better than MOD. For the money, Crashguard a much better deal though lol. I don’t notice any discernible difference between the two though, other than the obvious advantages over the MOD.

See now you’ve introduced another problem for me lol. Not sure why I should get the MOD over Crashguard. I don’t care THAT much about changing button colors. Hmmm

All in, I have like ~$80 wrapped up in my MOD with buttons and rims and lens and crap. Definitely try a Crashguard first and see how you feel. With mod you can cover phones back though... about only noteworthy advantage. Button changing colors and stuff is neat but definitely a cash grab lol

I can vouch for the awesome button and plate swap! I have the 8 Plus as well and am rocking the Rhinoshield case for that phone too. After having bought two dozen or so cases for the iPhone 8 Plus, I've come to the conclusion that the Rhinoshield Mod case is my absolute favourite of them all. I've yet to buy the camera mods, but will do so very soon.

Anyhow, here are two images of my 8 Plus case with the red buttons.

Even in that bottom pic bottoms slight bow can be seen.

I guess for wrapping like $80 up in a case I expected it to be perfect. Case isn’t bad but not perfect and had a HORRIBLE experience with customer service. Been treated better by sellers on eBay selling their $0.99 special lol

Yes, that's true. However, I'd like to note that I've accidentally dropped my phone about half a dozen times, one of which was a very harsh drop on the street. If you look closely, you can see those dents on the bumper. My phone was completely protected and didn't take any damage whatsoever, which is why I don't mind the little bow/gap at the bottom.

I absolutely do not contests apparent superb ability to protect phone mate. If it kept phone breaking once it’s paid for itself.
