I’ll vouch for the Solidsuit as well. It’s better than my previous case (Incipio DualPro) in just about every way. The faux carbon fiber back doesn’t attract fingerprint smudges, the buttons are clicky and extremely tactile, and the overall profile of the case is noticeably slimmer. The fit is perfect, too. This has become my favorite case so far.

Couldn’t agree more. By far my favorite Case. When the leather comes out I might grab that too

I just ordered the carbon SolidSuit! Now I just hope the carbon doesn’t feel/look fake. However, I think it will replace my Nomad Rugged as my daily case.

Crap stoopid me didn’t grab it and not for sale
Online. Curious if a $20 case maker has figured out how to make screen NOT rainbow like the life proof Fre

Picked one of these up over the weekend after seeing this post, wasn't very impressed. Buttons felt great and didn't seem to have any issues with taking pictures or FaceID and no noticeable rainbow effect but the sound was unbearable. To me, it looks better than the black/green color scheme of the newest Lifeproof's but because nobody could hear me speak nor could I hear them I ended up returning it. In my experience, the Lifeproof's have been much better in the sound department regarding waterproof cases. Just my two cents.

I've always stuck with the one case for all occasions, & the Apple silicone case seems like the one that'll fulfil my needs with the X.

But I'm just too curious about the below case & how it maintains a near-naked feel of the phone, whilst protecting it's front/back, so ordered one yesterday...

iPhone X Case (5.8"), DesignSkin [Corner] : Shock Absorbing Ultra Slim Light Thin Edge Cushion Bumper Protection Hard Cover Simple Basic Minimalist Case for Apple iPhone X (Matte Black) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B076HHQMKZ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_nfoXAb9JSN2NC

Can any current owners provide an update on how it's holding up? My main concern was that it would start to break up after a short time.

Received the SolidSuit today. Very very happy with it. I think I finally found a case that feels solid enough for work (outdoors) yet slim enough for everyday use.

Returned an Apple leather case and returned a pelican case today as well.

Also received the Rhinoshield Solit Suit today. I used to have it on my 6s(leather version) and loved it.

Few things:
-Slimmer than the patchwork itg level case and feels better in hand. If you enjoyed the solid suit in previous phones you’ll enjoy it for the X
-Was worried about the “carbon fiber” looking shiny and fake but it’s actually matte and it looks much better in person and provides some texture/grip.
-The sides are a bit slippery and wish they put something to add more grip like the patchwork itg level case but the added texture of the back plate makes up for it i guess.
-Feels like a much better (perfect) fitting Rhinoshield Mod case. You can’t pull the sides like you did with the Mod case
-I have a 3d true edge to edge icarez screen protector and so for no bubbles after removing it from my patchwork’s case and popping it into the solidsuit. It’s a very very very snug fit with 3d and there is literally no room for dust to get trapped which makes me wonder if the case will eventually cause bubbles to appear.
-the case doesn’t cause any issue when swiping up from the bottom as the icarez makes it pretty flush (very very small lip)
-classic rhinoshield protection. after dropping and abusing my iphone 6s with the solid suit without a scratch or bend, i feel much better carrying a $1000 phone with Rhinoshield’s version for the X
-it’s on amazon prime and amazon has the best customer service, if you don’t like it just return it. i’d be surprised if most people didn’t though

Does the lanyard cutout expose the side of the phone?

Exposed to dust and dirt yes

Looking at Pics the SolidSuit reminds me of my Evutec Karbon, a LOT

Current setup

A friend of mine has the Evutec Karbon (kevlar version) and it’s definitely a much slimmer case than the Rhinoshield and is great if you want a case that won’t be too far from OEM feel although. The sides also have better grip although i don’t think it can match Rhinoshield’s drop protection.

I have 3 kids so I needed that extra protection and security otherwise I would’ve most likely gone with the Evutec. Also if i recall correctly the Evutec Karbon comes with actual kevlar which is a plus.

I know the iPhone X has the best design in the world but I do like the orca/stormtrooper look the pixel 2 has so I ended up buying the white matte/black glass case in this pic.

Has scratch protection, maybe some drop protection and adds pretty much 0 bulk.

You're right. Mine lasted a week before the top corner cracked. I complained to their customer support (S Korea) and they replaced. I don't use it as a daily driver now, so it's held up. I like the naked feel of this case.

Appreciate the update. Good sign that support was there for you too. I presume you used email to communicate with them? Were they quick at responding & did it take much complaining for them to arrange a replacement?

Yeah, used email. They were relatively quick to respond and agree to replace. I just needed to send them a photo of the damage.

Got 2 questions:

1. How do I remove the poll on each page I visit within this thread? It's annoying.
2. Is there any gym buffs in here that use their phone in the gym to record their progress and recommend a case that can easily magnetically clamp onto/off gym equipment?

Thanks.

IIRC, there was a magnetic clip style case on one of the crowd funding sites recently. The pitch was for use at the gym.
