Higher resolutions on the same 27 inch are almost inexistant except the LG ultrafine 5K Thunderbolt,
Yes, 5K monitors have never really caught on - unfortunately, since DP 1.4 can do this resolution via a single cable.

Unfortunately, the Dell 4K 24 inch seems not to exist anymore.
I've just checked and pretty much all 24" 4K monitors seem to have disappeared indeed. What's going on?

While I don‘t have any of both, Dell Ultrasharp displays are really, really nice. I’m too looking for new monitors and this U2720Q is the one I’m looking for (two of them in fact) for My future Mini M1.

Few days ago I ordered Ultrasharp model that it's similar to U2720Q but for my old windows laptop.
And I returned it the same day. There was small shadow on the left corner and display bezel was loose and not fixed with display on the same left corner. I thought it could happen.... But today I checked many feedbacks about monitors and the same issue is very often for Ultrasharp - not fixed bezels (I guess for newer models)

Now I think that S2721QS is better quality build, I hope so...

Please tell us how's the quality build of your next monitor, like you did with this one, it is helpful for avoiding low quality expensive monitors. Thank you.

Yes of course, I just preordered S2721QS model because it's sold out in Europe, so I guess it comes newly made product...
And my new MAC mini and MacBook coming in the end of January. I am so looking forward to it :)

USB-C is important for MAC mini ? I think there is no difference how you connect it ?
I’m using a 32” 1440p monitor with my M1 Mac mini.

Connecting via USB-C to Display Port I get 1440p @ 120Hz with HDR.

Connecting via HDMI to HDMI I get 1440p @ 120Hz no HDR. Or 60Hz with HDR.

My bad, I did not think about bigger refresh rate :( Difference it’s really noticeable if we compare 60 vs 120 Hz if not gaming ... ?

Sorry, that might have been me. I put a PO in for 70 of them for computer labs at work. We received 25 and the rest are on back order ?

I have U2720QM's (which is the Q with different cords.) It is a SPECTACULAR display. It works on a M1 Mini and it looks great. Text is extremely sharp. Colors are vivd. Panel consistency is excellent. Price is way more reasonable and warranty is much better than the LGs.

Do note that when using 4K60Hz that the hub speeds are capped at USB 2.0 as the DisplayPort stream is presumably using all of the superspeed lanes (it is NOT a Thunderbolt display).

Thanks a lot for your comment. Exactly what I read 99% of the time about the U2720Q!

There’s a lot of ranges at Dell. Ultrasharp are the highest end, S line are mid range, and then the rest is usually low end. There’s also a line for gaming but never looked at it. Ultrasharp packs the best panels, best build quality and best ergonomics which are the three points I consider when buying a monitor. I haven’t found at LG something as good on specs as the U2720Q.

No problem! It's a great display! I own two of them as well as one of the lower resolution (QHD) 25 inch versions of the same product family. Panel consistency is spectacular, calibration is great out of the box, it has great color coverage (including DCI-P3), and the stand design is excellent as is the hub design. It's does everything quite well, especially relative to the price.

I concur. I only buy Dell monitors and my last six have been Ultrasharps. They have a great selection of ports: they come with port hubs, four to six video inputs, four-way monitor adjustment and simple controls. I only wish that they still offered the sound bars that they had many years ago.

You're going to be spending a lot of time with your monitors in the future and a little bit of comfort over a long period of time goes a long ways.

If you’re not gaming, then there really is hardly any difference. I’m not noticing macOS being any much better when running it at 120Hz compared to 60Hz on my old iMac.

But then I may not be sensitive to it. There must be a difference because macOS gives you the option.

Pen input like a wacom is also benefited by higher refresh displays, not just gaming. Designers and illustrators welcome those features

If you very quickly move windows around (or "shake" them) or scroll through text, it should be visibly smoother at 120 Hz.

?

OK so you have this model (S2721QS).... it's good?

OK. Opened 10 today, OOTB the contrast is awful. Colour accuracy is diabolical for an IPS monitor. Calibrated it's passable, but I wouldn't pay the retail price on it as it simply isn't worth it (got them 60% cheaper than retail because i'm on a HE premier account). Pony up the extra cash for either a U2720Q or a BenQ SW271. I've rejected the order because the department head getting them wasn't at all impressed either.

Thanks. I'll stick with the Ultrasharps in the future.
