Twitteriffic 2.1 is fantastic!

Before the 2.1 update, the only thing I liked better in the competing app Tweetie was a dedicated picture viewer that would pop-up when you selected, say, a TwitPic link. That same feature has now been added in the latest 2.1 update for Twitteriffic, so I now have no need to keep Tweetie on my iPhone. Cheers!

i think tweetie wins many votes only because it was probably the best twitter application at the time. i now find most of the other twitter apps to be better though. i used to be a tweetie fan but am now using twitterfon.

To those who want RT instead of (via @username), go into the Tweetie settings then Advanced, then Experimental. I don't know why it takes so many steps, it seems like it should be set to RT as default.

You talking about the premium version?

Also how do you view which version number you have currently installed

I use Tweetie and Tweetdeck. Reason being I like the interface that tweetdeck offers to read tweets, and Tweetie because it offers a landscape keyboard

Twitteriffic. The 2.1 update really did it for me. Will have to see if Tweeties next update rocks as much as he says though...was my previous fav.

I have to agree i think twitteriffic its about the best you can get. They all kind of so the same.

I still have twitterena+pro and twitbird on my phone. Depends on my mood i guess.

twitbird (was itwitter) has an update coming soon and should be pretty nice, it features its own push.

true, but its not like i have money to throw around left and right either to use different apps, plus buying an app with no return policy is not worth it, i just dont want to buy an app and find out that its not what i wanted in an app

You can't afford it, so you steal it? Pathetic.

Do any of these apps (or in conjunction with another app) provide push notifications of new tweets for people you follow? I'm not talking about someone mentioning you or DM either - I just want the ability to receive a push notification every time someone I'm following posts a new tweet. Does that exist? I know a lot of people might not want that because they would receive a ton of notifications but the people I follow don't tweet that often so that's not a concern for me.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 3_0_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/528.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile/7A400 Safari/528.16)

I use Tweet Push to get ALL status updates pushed to me. However, please be aware that the service costs $0.99 per month.
