Definitely super satisfied with my Beats Solo2 Wireless (space gray) purchase. Pairs insrantly and great battery life. To my surprise, i had no sound loss when i went to the next room, I thought bluetooth range was short?
30 ft range for these.

I forget that they are Bluetooth. Except for the not tripping over the wires part.

I don't hate Beats. I think they're nice. Just pricey. And for the money, you could find ones that are close to the quality for less.

I am looking for a very well balanced set of headphones with the following requirements:
  • Bluetooth to work with my AppleTV 4th gen and iPad pro
  • Have a balanced listening set which means I will be watching content 90% of the time with them so not much music
  • Very comfortable for long watching sessions (netflix, youtube)
  • I don't mind spending a lot but they better be worth it battery wise, connectivity, and quality
  • Over the ear, no ear buds as I have the Jaybird X2 for working out but want something more surround sounding for over the ear

I have always heard good things from the likes of MKHBD on Audio Technica but unsure how they perform from a content consumption versus music.

I listen to a lot of non-music content on my Beats Solo 2 Wireless. The sound is balanced and they are very comfortable to me. And I don't think they can be beat (pun!) for connectivity.

These? They look fantastic in space gray.

I have only owned one pair of Beats and they were far too bass driven for my liking but that was like 3 years ago. I am unsure if they have improved and a comparable priced bluetooth headset to these. Beats gets a bad rap but not sure if it is truly fair.

Also look at Bose Soundlink.

Very comfortable, sound is great, and I've had no problems pairing it with my iDevices and Apple TV 4.

Those. $249 at Amazon.
See the review in techradar (and other reviews) for how Beats has tamed the beast, er, the bass.

But $300...it kills me. I liked them too, but I just think there are alternatives with great sound for half the price. My Sony's are really great and has better battery life. But the Studio Wireless are nice. For me, I just can't justify the price.

You can find them on sale.

The apple store IMO is the most expensive place to buy anything.

I use these for working out which they are great for.

A little overpriced and not the best for bass but so far definitely sweat resistant. Also need to really test out the different configurations to get the right fit otherwise they don't seem to stay in your ear at least in my experience.

I still say for the money, the Sony Extra Bass Wireless are fantastic. I listened to them next to the Bose and the Beats. I think the difference is sound in pretty much negligible. The extra bass is great if you want to listen to something heavy on bass or even on a plane. If you don't want it, you just turn it off. The battery life is awesome. I've never ran them down all the way since I've had them. Listened to them on a flight from Newark to LA and back and still didn't go down all the way. They're very comfortable. The only knock I've had against them have been that even though they can be paired to multiple devices, it doesn't automatically jump between the two like the Bose SoundLink does. Overall, couldn't be happier with the purchase. Got them for $128. I'd at least consider them and try them for a few weeks.

The best headphones you can buy for the money right now are the Sony XB950BT bluetooth headphones. You can get them right now from amazon warehouse deal for 85$ they are normally $200 and destroy any beats headphones in sound quality for 1/3 the price.

link??

I got them from Best Buy on a price match from Sony.com and Crutchfield:

Sony MDRXB950BT/B Extra Bass Bluetooth Headset (Black) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00MCHE38O/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awd_TlqWwbH4M078D

You can see the reviews at Amazon for the most part echo what I said. I returned the Bose SoundLink headphones even though they were great. I couldn't justify the price for headphones personally. Also, they were super clean, but had very limited bass and sometimes sounded flat. I'm not an audiophile, but I want something that can be immersive and found the Sony's to be great. Honestly, one of the Skullcandy ones I tried were decent for the money too, although I heard more noise in them. The Sony's sounded cleaner to me.

Thanks
Still too pricey for me at this point for what I am looking to do with them

That link above is for a brand new pair. Amazon had them under the "used" section near the bottom of that link sold by amazon warehouse deals. These are almost always just like new with original packaging. I ordered mine last week Tuesday and they were 81$. Seems as they don't have any more stock of the used ones for now but check periodically as they pop up day to day. for 81$ you wont find a better pair.

Wow that's a fantastic price and I didn't know how good the "used" ones were from Amazon.

I think the best bet is to go to a store where you can try them, because headphones/speakers are such a subjective matter. What sounds good for one person sounds horrible to another

Id recommend b&w p5 wireless, e cent its on ear, not around ear.
The brand is a hi-fi brand, it's known for balanced, un-modified sounds. Build quality is the best among those available in AS. Pretty much all leather + metal, minimum plastics (only buttons), never had any issue with it

My LG Tone HBS-730 have held up well for three years. The HBS-760 model is $45.

Just picked these up from a user on here and they are easily the best set of headphones I have ever owned or heard.
Crystal clear, immersive sound, and it brings you into appreciating music and content even more now as you hear things you havent before.
Big fan and worth the cost imo.

I have the Powerbeats Wireless 2, these are great headphones! A little pricey since its Beats, but they work flawlessly with the Apple TV 4, iPad Pro and my iPhone 6S Plus. I would highly recommend these, and I would assume all of the Beats line would work just as well with these now too.
