I have the Powerbeats Wireless 2, these are great headphones! A little pricey since its Beats, but they work flawlessly with the Apple TV 4, iPad Pro and my iPhone 6S Plus. I would highly recommend these, and I would assume all of the Beats line would work just as well with these now too.

See above as I finally settled on a pair and very satisfied.

Thank you for the suggestions though!

Just picked these up from a user on here and they are easily the best set of headphones I have ever owned or heard.
Crystal clear, immersive sound, and it brings you into appreciating music and content even more now as you hear things you havent before.
Big fan and worth the cost imo.

These are bluetooth?

Not a fan of the beat solo2 wireless.
They get very uncomfortable after 1 hr or so.
Sound quality is rather poor.
The criticisms of beats are well-founded from my experience. The build quality feels cheap.
Battery life is great.

Looking to sell and grab the Sony MDR1ABT

I have the following, primarily used on iPhone. My setup is likely odd enough that it won't help anyone:

-Parrot Zik 2. Wouldn't recommend them. They're app connected, which is great in theory, but Parrot is one of those companies that release an app and then consider it end of life. So many features missing, ages to get logical upgrades, and then they just release a new version and leave the old one. Basically has an full effect life span of 0.

-Bose QC25. These aren't normally Bluetooth, but I glued a Bluetooth receiver ( a modified Sony SBH20) to the side and soldered together a perfect fit cable to the input of the headphones. I use these daily on my bus commute, and love them for audio books - the NC is so good. Audio quality for music is crap though. There's a BTunes thingamajig on Kickstarter that is essentially a commercial variant of my DIY project.

-Bluez 2 induction headphones. These sit beside the ear and vibrate sound into your skull, which means crap audio quality for music (again, audio books is my thing), but also means you have full control over outside noise, which is great for walking in traffic. I use these when I pop out for a bit and I cross a lot of roads and whatnot where I'm going.

How much are you willing to sell them for?

I've seen reviews in other forums compare them to ath m50's.

The Beats brand is way overrated and most people buy them because of the name. Bose are the same. They aren't worth the money you pay for them. The sound quality is not up to par for the price nor is the build quality which is cheap. There are better brands out there like Senheiser, Bowers And Wilkins and AKG.

They may be overpriced(there's a lot of good deals out there) but the latest generation has actually received pretty good reviews even from audiophiles. I don't think anyone mixing down an album would use them though.

They cost $400 I think here in Aus. So $350, couple months old. Most Australians pay retail. Cost of living here I guess

This is true when applied to the Beats Studio, they re-made them and now the quality is far superior to what it was before. They are still way overpriced though. I love mine but they were a gift. I probably would've never bought a pair otherwise. The noise cancelling and the battery life are great

You can now get a pair of refurbished Sony 950's on eBay for only $80.

I've had a pair of these since Thanksgiving 2014 when they were going for $99. Excellent Bluetooth headphones IMO.

Just bought myself a pair.

I had a pair of m50's and while I appreciate the balanced sound they produced I prefer the BOOM! Looking forward to the bass boost lol.

There was a recent deal on the bluetooth Studio 2 for about $160 matte black. Added to cart but couldn't pull the trigger. I"m just cheap i guess lol
[doublepost=1462647126][/doublepost]Wouldn't a set of good bluetooth headphones be good for any audio source including an iPad?

I sold the beats finally. Sony Mdr-1abt and sennheiser momentum 2.0 wireless seem to be the options. What other over ear wireless headphones are there?

I have the Momentum 2.0 headphones and I'm happy with them. They are priced but for the sound quality and features they are worth it.

Plays well with iPhone? How far can you go away from the source device before the bluetooth cuts out?

Yes it works fine with my iPad Pro 9.7", iPhone 6S Plus, Apple TV 4th generation and my 13" Retina MacBook Pro.

I've never been away from my devices but when I get a chance I will test it out. It should work for what ever is the regular Bluetooth range.

Thanks for the info. Got $300 for the beats solo 2 wireless but haven't seen the Sony MDR-1ABT for less than $450

I have them all ... I have always been a Bose guy, I have all their Bluetooth and noise cancelling headphones, keep them at work, in car, etc ... Envied the Beats colors and style so went with the Beats Studio Wireless ... Yes maybe more bass but Bose has such a clean sound in comparison ... Right now I'm happy using my Bose AE II Bluetooth headphones. Clean sound, not as much Bass but last forever and most importantly, connect to both my iphone and iPad at the same time, so I don't have to go thru the unpair, repair process ... Beats being an apple product you would think a simple feature like that would be a priority ....

Good shout. Got a deal for the Bose SoundLink II wireless $300 AUD for.

Looking for over-ear bluetooth/wireless headphones with sound quality similar to the $180 AT M50x's.
So I figure $400 give or take is a fair price.
The list are (trusted retailers in Aus so protected with consumer warranty yada yada yada):

Pendulumic Stance S1+ $329
Bose AE II bluetooth $300
Sony MDR-1ABT $448
Koss BT540i $300

Other options:
Beats - **** and pricy
B&O - too pricy
Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 Over-Ear Wireless - too pricy

Any thoughts?
