Considering the Bose QC 35, but might wait until September for the release of the QC 30's (wireless, noise cancelling and in ear). My last two or three pairs of headphones have all been Bose in-ear, most comfortable I've ever used and the only ones that stay in my ears. Yes Bose has a definite sound "signature" but I guess I'm just used to it.

Just picked up a pair of the Bose Soundsport Wireless headphones. Not exactly the greatest for the iPad (unless you're a weirdo who works out with your iPad), but amazing for the iPhone.

With that said, they'd be great for the iPad if you need wireless and in-ear that are versatile enough to serve as workout headphones as well.

So for the Bose wireless, how are they with video streaming? Is there any delay?

I'm a big fan of Jaybirds. While I love the super small form factor of the new Freedoms, they are awful with delay on video streaming. The Jaybirds X2's are spot on with the streaming.

Try them before you diss them.

I have those headphones and have been using them in my studio for the last year. They sound great, stay paired over a long distance, have intelligent controls, are comfortable, and look terrific. And I got them at a big discount from Amazon. I love them!

Beats is like a cereal that you see celebrities endorsed on TV. LeBron James said that he eats it for breakfast every morning.

The cereal comes in a very slick packaging and even the cereal itself looks cool.

Then you eat it and it tastes like ****.

You don't need to buy another box to know that it tastes like ****.

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

Bless your heart.

I'll stick with my experience though.

As this thread shows, headphones are a personal experience. I rejoice that we have so many choices.

Haha I ended up going with a pair of Beats after my old wired headphones stopped working a few weeks ago and I must say...I could not be happier with them. Now, I'm no audiophile but I am someone who is constantly listening to music, audiobooks, podcasts, and white noise/nature sounds throughout the day, so I do strongly value quality sound. These headphones are fabulous in terms of sound quality, in my humble opinion. Bass is decent but not muddy, and I am hearing things in music that I never did with other headphones I've used. They're also very pleasant to use - as @cdcastillo mentioned upthread, it's simple to switch them between devices. As far as battery life is concerned, I've easily been getting a full day off a single charge with some left to spare. Granted I only use them for maybe one or two phone calls, and usually have the volume at about 50-75%, so I'm sure that experience may vary. Finally, they're super comfortable. I'm a glasses-wearing migraine-prone person, so headphones were always hit or miss for me in terms of comfort, and could never use anything that pressed too hard on my temples. These were a little tight on the first day but loosened up nicely after a few days, and I've had no issues.

Of course, this is just my own experience with this one set of headphones; I've had few to compare them to, and am not the type to really go around comparing something to other brands when the one I have suits my needs just fine. These certainly suit my needs, so I'm a happy camper!

Finally, they're super comfortable.

I've never used Beats headphones, so I don't have any opinions on their sound quality. But I have tried them on in stores, and IMO, the Bose headphones are WAY more comfortable to wear than Beats. If you get an opportunity, do try on the Bose, I'm interested to hear which you find more comfortable.

I just picked up the Bose as well and the fit right out of the box is really really good. They are very comfortable and sound great. Plus, when I run they never feel like they are going to come out. Very happy with them.

I bought the best bluetooth headphones on the market (the market being limited to the airport :D), the Jabra Rox. Most of my purchases these days are of opportunity as I'm constantly on the move. I have nothing to compare them to but I love them.

Hmm, that's good to know. I'm not sure when I'd get the chance to try them on but if I do, I'll definitely let you know! It's very subjective though, and I am super, super picky about headphones. I actually probably wear mine a little differently than most people. I think I wear them lower on my ears than most, since I also wear glasses and am very prone to headaches and migraines. I can't stand it when headphones press up against my glasses behind my ears, as that always triggers a headache for me eventually, so I always wear them as low as they will go while still being able to hear them. I also like them very loose to begin with. The Beats fit very loose on their own which I liked, and stretch out to lower than most other headphones I've recently used. Granted that's not a large sample size to compare to, but they worked for me so I was happy!

I'm a glasses wearer too and find tha Beats to be ultra comfortable. It is a very personal thing.

Interesting. I do wear glasses sometimes, and trying to get comfortable while wearing both headphones and glasses can sure be difficult! But my main problem with most headphones is they tend to be too loose -- I have a smaller than average head -- so my problem is almost the exact opposite of yours. The thing I like the most about Bose though, is that their ear cushions are softish and comfortable, whereas the Beat cushions are harder, and don't seem to "mold" to my ears.

hi all,

Which headphones would you use with the iPad for wireless?

I'm standard, in the box, wired headphones at the minute. Wouldn't mind something better - are beats the way to go?

I sometimes use headphone for talking on the iPhone. Guess I'll stick to them for that and 'proper' headphones for music and movies?

Advice please?

Thanks
Bose makes a decent pair of wireless headphones. I don't like BEATS, too bassy

Sony MDR-1000X seem like a good bet. The Bose sound quality was very poor when I went to the store, at least compared to the AT M50x.

v-moda wireless look interesting, the Audio Technica bluetooth over-ears look good too. Listened to my qc35s again, the sound sucks for me but ymmv.

I wasn't impressed with the beatsx but I wasn't too disappointed. The BeatsX with IPX67 and battery >12 hrs.

Anyone with Beyerdynamic Byron BT earphones? I have a weird mechanical click in my left bud, new...heard it from the first listen. Very subtle. Occurs with movement. Not in the right. Tried multiple devices.

Otherwise great sound, great price.

When I bought my 10.5 a month ago they gave me a free pair of beats by dre wireless ear buds. They work fine

I also got the Bose Soundsport Wireless headphones (earbuds, actually). I prefer them over my Jaybird BlueBuds - they're more comfortable and the sound is excellent. Use them with my Air 2, S7 Edge phone, and Galaxy Tab S2 8" tablet. Pricey but worth it to me.

Jaybird X3 are much better sound wise to the Bose and you can change the signature via the app. I use them for running and they're great as I can wear them over the ear. At home I use the B&W P7 Wireless, but also auditioned the AKG N60NC Wireless and they're great too.
