Updated from iOS 14.5 yesterday to iOS 14.5.1 on my iPhone 11. After the update finished, I was playing CODM and noticed the frame rates were horrible. I checked my settings to make that it was set to the max frame rate, which it was. I then ran a geekbench test, and the scores I got were horrible for the multi-core. I then rebooted my phone to no avail; it was still super slow in games and in opening apps. I then proceeded to do a clean install which seems to have fixed the issue. Now my geekbench score is normal, and performance is what it used to be. What is going on, Apple? Anyone else having this issue? Upload a screenshot of your geekbench score on iOS 14.5.1 and tell us what device you have.
My XR under 12.4.1 - 1113 SC, 2536 MC
My XR under 13.5.1 - 1113 SC, 2656 MC
My XR under 14.5.1 - 1115 SC, 1953 MC

Battery life has been in the toilet as well, whereas when I first got the XR, it was like the Energizer Bunny. I would really like to not have to do a nuke and pave if I can avoid it.

Animations are laggy as hell now too, but my GPU score delta from 13.1.1 to 14.5.1 is 4566–>5191, so it must be the abysmal MC scores and some sort of performance regression that crept in at the last
minute.

Battery life hasn’t been any good on 14.5 and 14.5.1, WTF is going on at apple these days, are they turning into the next Samsung. 🤦‍♂️

Getting 2 hours less battery life on my 12 pro max.
Battery life since 14.3 has been terrible for me! 12 Pro Max

I didn't notice when/what update, but I have for sure noticed worse battery life lately. I thought it was just because I've been opening Coinbase every other minute 🤣

I didn't run a benchmark prior to 14.5.1 but it looks like this is about normal for the 12 Pro Max.

I'm not having performance issues, but one thing I did notice while poking around is that the iOS 14.5.x battery recalibration is complete and it shows the capacity again under battery health.

Could some of you have wonky batteries and throttling got enabled when calibration finished? Check your battery health sections to see.

Just to add to my earlier post.
Although I posted a score after a reboot, I had tried it before doing it and got close to the same result.
Having said all that, tested again a few minutes ago and it shows a ‘normal’ score. 1588 and 4290.

Could it actually be a Geekbench bug rather than the phone?

My Pro Max acts like a donkey ass. WTF, Apple. This is supposed to be your retail upgrade when a fricking beta performs better?
