Wasn’t it a mobile phone? ??
Well yeah, from a strictly labeling perspective it was a phone. Obviously. But remember there were no smart watches in 1999. No smart phones either. People were happily spending a month’s salary on boxy CRT televisions that took up half their living room.

But in terms of functionality, those minuscule Nokias delivered a lot of communications ability in a tiny “carry with you always” package. So in terms of fulfilling consumer requirements (and aspirations) they were pointed in much the same direction as today’s smart watches.

Does anyone of you have a picture of this watch with the new black or green solo loop?
Just got mine. Very subtle blue.

I tend towards classic and conservative style choices. In the past, I have sometimes gotten more adventurous options because apple‘s marketing makes them look really good. I always end up regretting it after owning the device for a while. Although the blue does look good, i know that’s how I’d feel about it eventually.

I ordered the blue one because blue is my favorite color and I don’t really care if it goes with anything, it’s a watch. As long as it does what it needs to, it shouldn’t have to “match” with whatever I’m wearing. I’m a girl, yes, but I really do not care about fashion all that much or if certain colored bands go with it lol I just care about what I like.

I love my blue S6 honestly. Blue is a very versatile color and goes with a lot more than people realize. The contrast against other colors is also a very interesting visual. For the person who said it looks like a toy, I respect your opinion but that's ridiculous. Just be creative with your color combinations guys/ gals. Besides the blue only really stands out in bright sunlight.

Last week, I ordered the blue with charcoal sport loop and it was due to arrive between the 16th-23rd. Checked my Apple Store yesterday and they had stock so decided to just buy it. It's my first time using a sport loop (sport band still my favorite) but I think the charcoal looks great with the new blue.

My charcoal sport loop band was meant to be here on the 5th ? now delayed, hopefully arrive any day now.

Pairs up well with the blue watch, are the plastic lugs the same colour as the blue on the Apple Watch?

I’m changing bands tomorrow. Here it’s on a ginger band with black scrubs. Sorry for the blurriness of the front camera.

I’m actually surprised and happy to see the blue matching with the brighter color bands too. Wanting to grab another but deciding between surf blue, Cyprus green or linen blue.

Gonna go broke, haha. I want to grab the new iPad Air also when it releases. Apple, shut up and take my money!

LMAO!!!

I’m lucky the apple stores are closed in Melbourne, otherwise I’d have a few bands already. ?

Very nice combo for a female ? don’t think I’d be manly enough to rock it ?

Seeing the blue watch in photos doesn’t do it justice, so glad I got one.

Thanks! Believe it or not, it’s third party but probably as soft as the solo loop. Hoping it stays this way.

The lugs on the charcoal sport loop are dark grey but it’s subtle and matches well.

Does anyone have the silver milanese loop with a blue aluminium watch? Need to know if they’d go together well.

Edit: i found some pics with this combo. Not mine.

I tried on the blue watch in the Apple store on Monday, and I really liked it. Really tempted to get it.

I tried it on with the Diver Blue leather loop - here are some pics.

I am moving from the Space Grey Series 3 and would like a change. I want to love the silver, but I think I love the blue more. Fortunately I have lots of bands that should go well with the blue:

  • Sport bands (grey, blue horizon)
  • Sport loop (tahoe blue)
  • Nylon band (royal blue, black)
  • Nike sport band (obsidian mist/black)
I'm close to going for the blue with the charcoal sport loop, and maybe treating myself to the leather loop or link in blue for Christmas.

I went into the store to see as the pictures on the website were so variable - and as someone above says, only very few straps went with it. I LOVE blue - but when I saw it I was very disappointed. It's dark. I realise that would brighten up in the sun but i'm rarely in the sun - and I like a variety of straps and it just didn't go with much except blue in the store, either. Far from being a striking alternative to jazz up my wrist it looked dull and boring, so I went with the silver aluminium. And the assistant found me a nylon loop strap that was pale and sky blue with a sunshine edge and it just looks wonderful.

I’m so disappointed that it looks like my watch won’t match the blue 12 Pro’s. I was counting on that. Now I don’t know what color phone to get. Should I still get the blue even though it won’t match?
