I’m so disappointed that it looks like my watch won’t match the blue 12 Pro’s. I was counting on that. Now I don’t know what color phone to get. Should I still get the blue even though it won’t match?
Doesn't need to be exact to match.. Its still blue and blue

Looks like it will match 12, not pro

Was disappointed also, decided I’m going to get a silver pro max with a deep navy silicone case, problem solved.

Plus I’ve always purchased the silver iPhones. Most of the time you won’t even see the color of your phone due to it being in a case most of the time.

Hi guys, I have a question, maybe it’s off topic, but do you protect the screen of your watch? I already have a little scratch in my screen...so I have the feeling that the ion x glass is prone to scratches cause I don’t abuse my watch.

On the other hand, I have apple care+ and could exchange the watch at some point when the screen looks really bad...

Nah, I don’t. AC+ is what I always do.

Sorry to hear that. Do you remember banging it or having it come into contact with something? I've never used a screen protector on any of my Apple Watches and luckily have never scratched the screen. I've previously had Al, SS and Ti.

I’m really close to buying the blue but still have this nagging doubt about it’s compatibility with different bands. And I might just go silver instead - I have space grey now and fancy a change...

What combinations have people been successful (or unsuccessful) in pulling off with the blue watch?

I thought the same thing. But just think about this, how many bands do you really need? I have 2, the blue sports band that came with my blue watch and the new green sports solo loop which is also a prefect combination....also, blue just shines ?

No nothing like this. I don’t know how the scratch came...I’ve got AC+, so when my screen is broken I’m gonna exchange the watch anyways...

Good point. My collection isn't massive (I think I have 8), but has grown in the past couple of weeks with a few purchases of OEM bands on eBay.

Interesting that you have the green solo loop with the blue watch. I really like the look of the Inverness Green sport loop but hadn't considered it to be a good match for the blue.

Just got the blue and I love it. Coming from a series 4 SS. I got the blue diver leather band and it looks awesome. Also have th SS Milanese and that contrast looks stunning in daylight. Have the neon blue sports as well.
my fav combination is the Milanese.

Got a AWS4 currently in silver

Was planning on getting the S6 as I’ve had enough of the Silver watch, no idea why I even had it tbh!

Torn between the safe option of black, or going for the blue - those that have had the Blue since release/a few Weeks now do you have any regrets over your colour choice?

No regrets. Came from a series 4 SS. The bands make a difference. The deep diver blue leather loop is a classic look, and I love it. The SS Milanese looks stunning with it. The neon lime sports loop makes it look like a toy.

Go for unsafe. I did it yesterday. I did not really need another one, but wanted that blue thing. You will not regret it - you will regret it, getting the black one, seeing a blue one out in the wild.

Here is the Pokéball version... ?

I just got my blue last night and I’m pleasantly surprised at how good it looks. Pictures don’t really precisely show the color. In my opinion, the fact that the case color matches the band color AND also contrasts from the screen color, it makes the Apple Watch body look smaller. Cause the black square is smaller, the blue casing just looks like part of the band if that makes sense. I had a series 5 space grey before and it looked kinda too big on me in my opinion. This one definitely looks smaller despite also being 44mm. It’s a huge plus for me

Finally took the plunge and got the blue watch yesterday and set it up last night. I got it with the intention of trying it on my wrist for a while and exchanging for silver or space grey if I didn't like it. Got it with the charcoal sport loop

I love it. So happy with my choice.

I tried it on with all my bands and it looked great:

  • Grey sport band (looks good, the subtlety of the blue works really well with the grey band)
  • Midnight blue sport band (this looks particularly good, similar to the new dark navy bands)
  • Blue horizon sport band (stunning combination)
  • Tahoe blue sport loop (looks better than it did with my space grey series 3, but would look better with silver)
  • Black woven nylon (does look better with my space grey series 3, but still works with the blue)
  • Royal blue woven nylon (I never wore this with the SG, but it looks great with the blue, especially as it has blue detailing on the edge of the band)
If you're thinking of getting the blue, do it!
