Guy's, The video card arrived for my Mac Pro and it's a beast (Has 4GB GDDR 5 ram on-board)..This is the first time that I've seen it...Because the seller said that it might not be the same as in the picture. I'm really happy with it, and it has to boot screen too. Now I'm waiting for that mSATA card to arrive. Most probably sometime next week..

IMO, the latest natively supported OS should be a good choice.

If that thing works, I'd keep it vs donating it anywhere. Why should someone else make money off all your hard work? Plus, you don't know if they'll just disassemble it and put the parts up on ebay...

Did you ever test the GPU?

Nope I bought the card off eBay and the seller who sold them all (He had 6 of them) said that they are tested before shipping. But I put another Logic Board and still black screen..Also no sound from the speaker on powerup, so I think that it's the 3.2GHz CPU's (What else could it be), so I'll remove them and fit in the (2) 2.8 GHz. You see the 2.8's did come with the board, and the seller did say that the CPU's and Board came from a working Mac (heat-sinks came with them too)...
[doublepost=1518748538][/doublepost]Guy's My Mac is now working Phew!!!..It was those bloody 3.2GHz Processors, so they must be bad or not compatible with the Mac Pro.. Nice white screen with a flashing question mark...Now ready to install the OS.....

Awesome! What is the processor code on those 3.2s and 2.8s? Strange that they didn't work. I would think it would be more of an incompatibility issue than bad processors.

Hi..The 2 CPU's are X5482 SLBBG 3.2GHz /12M/1600..But not sure if one is bad, so now I have ordered a 3.2 kit from a seller on eBay and they will will work...

The SLBBG processor won't work on the 3,1, you need the SLANZ X5482.

(This is in the sticky thread, you better check it before your purchase)

Guys I've fitted a Blue-ray drive but How do I get it to open, as I have no access to the button....

On an older full size mac keyboard I have, there's an eject button. I'd try that if you have access to a full size keyboard.

Ok ..Though I did try to use my Wife's USB drive, and was able to boot off a Mountain Lion ISO that I burned the disk image using Windows UltraISO.. But after the installed icon came on the screen then I clicked on it.. The Drive went nuts, so was unable to install it (Burned copy must have been no good), so I have bought a fresh installed OS X El Capitan on a Hard-Drive from eBay..That should work eh???

yup, should..

Phew thank god.. Oh, pressing the mouse buttons on power up didn't open the drive..Could that be cos the drive is connected to the SATA connector instead of using a drive that's connected to the IDE connector..

Possibly, but I wouldn't think it would matter since it's a software signal being sent to the removable drive.
