Airpods won't work well for me because it's not sweat/water resistant. Just got my Bragi Dash today and looking forward to finally trying it. My Jabra Elite Sport is backordered and won't be here for a couple of weeks.

The deal breaker for me is the Bragi's 3 hour battery life and the fact you can't use them independently. The airpods may not have the same looks or features but they're definitely more flexible for my personal needs.

You can use the bragi independently. I use mine that way all the time. The right one for music only. Also I get about 4 hours of battery life. Bragi has it all. The major draw back is the Bluetooth connection. It's really picky and can be very annoying at times. But by far the most comfortable and useful earbuds I have ever owned.

They do have some actual products on Amazon so at last they have a history of producing something.

I'm curious though about the Samsung IconX but at even a higher price I'm not even going to bother. I am not sure they would even work with Apple stuff.
They work great with my S7 Active as well as with my iPhone 7. They stay in the ear without a hitch even during the most intense workouts. The touch controls are super simple to use and can work independently as well.

Thank you I didn't know you could use them independently but the right one only for music does limit flexibility somewhat. 4 hours is impressive considering the amount of processing that's going on in these little things. I'm sure the delays to the airpod's is related to the issues all these headsets have with connectability with both the bluetooth as well as each of the buds. I'm still going to get the airpods as well as the BeatsX and hopefully all the bugs will be worked out by the time they release.

Not pushing bragi by any means. But after 2 months of daily use I am just blown away with the ease of use. I travel for work so I may wear them for 4 hours at a time. I love the seamless integration. I like I can control everything from the earbuds them self. I also like the 4g of internal storage and I can drag and drop music right into the dash. The case is also really nice. It handles a ton of charges with out re juicing the unit. I also take calls with them. They actually work really well. Not great if you are in a real noisy place and or windy but sound and mic work well. The audio transparency is also pretty cool. I was a backer for kanoa but well let's just say are having issues. I think for one of the first to market bragi got a lot right. There is a ton of tech and useful tech packed into these things.

The gear iconx excel in the area of fit. They nailed the design. They do not move while running and I typically have issues with that. Sound quality is average at best. For a run, the sound is fine. I am searching for an improvement over the gear iconx in terms of sound. Has anyone considered the Sol Republic Amps Air or Skybuds? I too am waiting on Jabra Elite Sport but I have concerns over both fit and sound quality based on my experience with other Jabra products.

Well I ended up trying them but the battery life just kills it for me. I knew of the timeframe beforehand but feel I rather go with something with more life for the money.

The sound really surprised me but the shoe just didn't fit so to speak for me to spread that money so I returned them.

Preordered the Headphones looking forward to receiving them
So far the verge gave them good reviews. My only complaint would be the case that comes with it doesn't charge it. But it looks a lot better than the airpods.

Braggi are not even up for consideration. You should be deciding which W1-equipped headphones to get. Anything else is inferior by a large margin.

Hold the phone, any other truly wireless earbuds I tried paired to my iPhone are blowing away the sound quality of the Airpods.

It is only when I pair the Airpods to an android smartphone am I finding the sound quality up to nuff.

As far as connectivity and battery life, that is another story.

I am pretty happy with my bragis. Are they the best sound quality no. Do they do almost all what I want. Yes. I use them daily for hours a day. I travel for work and these have been great for working out and daily use. The connection issues are annoying but have learned to deal with it. So far I am happy with them.

First of all they are not "blowing away" the sound quality. They may be marginally better, but they are not blowing anything away. And for that reason, that should not be your only concern. Sound quality is ONE important aspect of living with wireless headphones that needs to be considered for a good user experience. AirPods nails about every important aspect. Including Sound Quality. Is the sound quality as good as another pair of headphones that have NO other goals beyond sound quality? No. But they don't need to be.

I just received my "Headphone". I have only tried them in my house so far; the BT connectivity seems to be good, they work fine two rooms away from my phone. They sound as good as any BT earphones I have used.

Personally I like them better than the airpods (which I will return). The main reason is that the airpods don't block out noise, which makes them less than ideal in many situations I use earphones (e.g. on airplanes or in noisy office environments). With the Headphone, you can choose if you want to let environmental noises in (using the passthrough feature which works pretty well).

Another reason is the lack of an easy way to adjust the volume with the airpods. The Headphone's tiny buttons aren't great, but they do the job.

No noise cancelling or volume control were givens, guess so was the sound quality really.

Nowhere did it say they were any better than the EarPods which many feel are meh. The $79 Apple earbuds aren't any better so I should not have expected more for the sound from Apple to tell the truth and I am not talking about audiophile quality. AND different iPhones I tried just cannot power them efficiently enough for music I want to listen to so basically useless in my gym even cranked.

Is the max volume enough on "the Headphones". I've read some complaints that volume isn't enough in those even on max volume. How do they fit in ear compared to AirPods?

I've only tried them indoors so far, but volume seems about the same as my current set of BT earphones (JBL Reflect Mini). I use them with the volume slider on the iPhone at about 50-60% which is plenty loud for my taste.

The Airpods are a bit more comfy for my ears (same as the Earpods, which always worked well for me in that regard). The Headphone works will with the smallest eartip for me. It's not really comparable though since the Airpods don't create an acoustic seal (which means they don't block out external noise and have very little perceived bass).

Any additional comments about bluetooth connectivity? Have you tried moving your music source (phone, watch, whatever) around to see if the connection stays or drops?

For me, despite whatever sound quality the device may provide, connectivity is more of a concern.

Thanks in advance.

Well Sprint.com decided to shadily cancel my AirPods order. Nice.

Costco has the Bragi in stock everywhere (now we know why their consumer shipping commitments were missed...)

Anyhow, they are covered under their lifetime return policy so I'l probably pick them up today. If they break in 3 years, I'll return for a refund, etc.
