I don't know if it is denial, but I think it's important for current Apple users to have some context when speaking on recent times.

I have an Apple bias, but that bias wont make me settle for an inferior product like the iPhone 6. I look forward to the 6S, but the gap Apple enjoyed between the iPhone and android/everyone else between iPhone 1 - 5S, is now gone.

Many android phones have the performance, and unlike yesteryear, the iPhone iOS experience is way down, and the android experience is way up. Samsung hardware is ridiculous on power and performance, while the iPhone 6 is completely mediocre.

This is a problem for me, and I personally won't reward Apple with buying mediocre products. I like the iPad, I have a MacBook upgrade planned, and I think the Apple Watch is stunning, but the iPhone 6 doesn't have the magic anymore. Especially not compared to the Galaxy S6.

Same here. I'm all Apple except for my smartphone. My daily driver is the s6 and it's glorious.

Like I said earlier, i7guy and the likes are all the worse type of apple fans, unknowingly doing disservice to the brand and its fellow users. There's literally no convincing them of anything until apple does it. Save your breath.

Title of this thread can be very controversial as I see it has been a very active thread.

I am a person who swaps phones all the time and I always end up coming back to Apple and iOS at the end of the day. I use to be a die hard Android fan with all the rooting and customizing kernels and ROMs and all that but I just don't have the time for that anymore. These days I want to pick up a phone and it just works.

The thing I dislike about Android is the fact that you have to disable so many things on your device to get it to perform just a little bit better. I like to leave my features on and get the full use of a device that I paid almost $1000 for.

Sure the S6 has great specs but that's just it. Samsung I think just plays the numbers game with throwing this many MP's in the camera and this many GB of RAM whereas Apple doesn't even need all of that to strive and make an excellent device, they do more with less.

No way am I saying that you are right or wrong with either product you go with but I had the S6 for a few weeks and I went running back to my 6+ because of many personal reason and one big one being app quality. App quality on Android is just poo imo. We all know this debate can go on and on. lol

The only thing disabled on my S6 is carrier bloat and capacitive lights. On the S6 exactly what are your referring to that needs to be disabled?

S6 camera is better. In blind testing and among the majority of reviewers that is the consensus, so it is not just "throwing in MP's"

and this many GB of RAM

Go to the iPhone section and a huge number of users are begging, literally, for more RAM. Sounds like Samsung is ahead of the curve.

whereas Apple doesn't even need all of that to strive and make an excellent device, they do more with less.

Apple is doing less with less.

Name all these apps you are referring to. Specific apps, and app features that make them poor compared to the iOS versions.

I am heavy on many different forums and there are people turning everything in the world off the phone in order to get halfway decent battery life. Of course this doesnt apply to everyone but majority of people turns alot of services off.

Of course the S6 camera is better. That is one thing that I do give the S6. I cannot deny that.

Of course iPhone users want more RAM, I want more RAM on my 6+ but at the same time the S6 has more RAM and still behaves like it was 1GB. They are ahead of the curve but Apple will come and set the curve when they bring less RAM and still outperform high end android devices and at the end of the day will be doing more with less.

I don't have to sit here and list every app that I think runs better on iOS but in the past I have dealt with apps and games that studders on Android and then play or use them on my iPhone and its smooth as day.

Like I said I am not a fanboy of either platform and I use to be anti-Apple a few years ago and then I had to respect Apple for what they are. You have to respect both platforms for what they are.

Exactly......I7guy is on raft on the river of denial. :)

To each their own I guess. If I'm on the river you must be on the creek.

at some point it comes down to one opinion vs another. There is no convincing some there is another point of view. Period.

Does the S6 reload apps and tabs because of Lollipop? The Note 4 running KitKat with the same 3GB of RAM is perfectly good enough when it comes to reloads. Sure they could all do with reloading less, but the 6+ is by far the worst for it. That thing performs like it has no RAM whatsoever.

Again so much of opinions. I mentioned the partnership of Apple with IBM, where is androids answer to that? Seems like less is more?

The S6 having more and being able to do more are not opinions. Not to mention you're still arguing from a point of ignorance. This isn't an insult -- you literally have no idea what the S6 is like in day to day use compared to the iPhone.

If you want to ignore facts or back peddle from your losing argument by saying, "ah, these are all just opinions anyway, no point in arguing" you're free to delude yourself.

i7guy reminds me of Jrswizzle -- he'd get involved in conversations, lose the argument or otherwise get called out for his bull, then say, "bah, why'd you drag me into this conversation." Except, i7guy's style is more philosophical nonsense than playing victim.

While it's entertaining, it's also a shame. Anybody who would deter a conversation (or even the idea of) for Apple to make the iPhone better is not a real fan. And in fact, as I've argued before, the worse type of fan.

You seem to be arguing just to argue. You are ignoring significant advances with iOS 8 functionality that android doesn't even have while at the same time ignoring other information regarding the camera as an example. You and Jameszr seem to have that in common. Makes it difficult, actually impossible to take you guys seriously.

The problem with the S6 for me was it was released 6 months after my contract comes to an end. Had it been released around the same time or near to the iPhone, I may have tried it this time. I wasn't going to wait around 6 months, especially after the S5 failed to raise my interest early last year. As it stands I am impressed with the iPhone 6 and it got my money this time.

Only one of us thinks it's an opinion that the s6 has more and can do more than the iPhone 6. There is nothing in that statement that is an opinion.

The camera? Didn't the S6 camera beat the iphone in blind tests. That is a fact not opinion. Most reviewers agree. The S6 camera is better than the iphone 6.

Explain, very specifically, how the prospect of Apple and IBM is benefitting you right now with an iPhone in terms of hardware, which is what this thread is about?

Yea I wish that IBM partnership would bring more integration with enterprise windows systems that almost every company uses. iOS is also the corporate mobile OS leader, come on!

How can a guy like I7guy accept the S6 camera beating the iPhone in the blind tests if he's a blind fan himself.
Nice......

Its funny how many times he is outed for making dumb and contradictory statements by multiple people. He is presented with his own comments to refute his current comments then.....flipflops. Really is amusing to watch. :)

Widgets are still half baked on IOS and maps is better now but not when it was released. It was horrible and panned by everyone.
As far as Apple has envisioned widgets, they seem to be fine. Certainly people have other ideas as to what widgets can or should be, but it doesn't mean that because Apple didn't completely open everything up and allow anything and everything that what they do have is half-baked.

As for maps, there are issues, but mostly on the data side--Apple just didn't have enough solid data for a mapping solution when they launched and are still behind on that. It's a problem, but not really a problem of the maps implementation or anything like that, just one of having enough solid sources providing enough good data to use.

I think this thread has run its course. It's almost impossible to read with the subject often forgotten between snipes. Time for a clean up or a close I think. Shame.
Unfortunately realistically that already happened pages ago.

Yep...the OP had a very clear agenda in creating this thread. It was trolling and flame bait at the beginning and will be to the end.
