My CC just got charged and it is now preparing to ship. I hope it comes from a local warehouse instead of China!

Phones were already in the UPS warehouse in Concord, ON and they ship from there. Not as exciting as tracking it from China, LOL.

Mine was scanned at 13:18 today and scheduled for delivery tomorrow near Montreal.

Mine says on the way when I use the Apple store app. When I track though UPS it says label created. Hope I didn’t miss the shipping cutoff. Ordered right after 8am

I am at least getting something on UPS now when I search by reference number and put phone number used for order..

" Order Processed: On its Way to UPS "

Edit:

Checked UPS app, see a package coming from Concord ON, CA, scheduled delivery end of day Friday.

Same here, and received my AppleCare+ agreement yesterday.

My second one, 12 pro graphite 256gb changed to in transit! ugh tmrw is going to drag on and on until UPS man gets here.

UPS487 should arrive into Louisville at 1230 Friday morning from Toronto, then out to the hubs for all of us. Mine will go Louisville -> Minneapolis -> Winnipeg by 7AM.

Unless UPS is sending it this way by CargoJet who is a contract carrier for UPS in Canada. This seems less likely because CargoJet flies out of Hamilton and the phones aren't near there.

Quick question for the guys from around the Toronto area. I wanted to go into the local Apple store on Friday to check out the new phones before I decide on the colour. Is Apple allowing that? Sorry if it sounds silly but I haven’t been to an Apple store since COVID broke out.

I just received a -- "Delivery Confirmation for your order number" from Bell. None of the links in the email are working. Anyone know how they ship to Winnipeg, Manitoba or how long it will take?
Cheers

they are allowing you to come see them but id wait tomorrow gonna be extremely busy To the point you’ll wait a long time to enter the stores, even now they usually won’t let you in unless you have a shopping appointment or wait a line

As @Shaarujon567 mentioned, yes you can go, but because of COVID, you can't just "walk into an Apple store" like you used to be able to. You need to make an appointment online, and essentially they have an employee dedicated to you escort you around the floor to see anything you want. I think if there's no one there, they do take walk-ins, but that's only if there are no other appointments at that time, they fit you in.

Given tomorrow is first day of iPhone 12 release, and it's a Friday, I imagine it'll be quite busy. So if you really want to, I'd book an appointment first.

I went to an Apple store this summer, just to browse but with the intention of picking up AirPods. The clerk just followed me throughout the store, it felt like being at a Bad Boy store where the commission salespeople just follow you around so they don’t lose the sale to another clerk. It felt so uncomfortable that I just left the store empty ended and didn’t buy anything. The whole point of going into an Apple store is to explore and look around. Hard to do when someone is watching your every moves.

Yah, I agree. Compared to when you could just browse around, you feel more "pressure" to either browse quickly (so as not to take up a salesperson's time when you don't have an intention to buy), or that you should buy something. I guess given COVID though, it's the best Apple could come up with to allow people in the store while still being "safe". I think (?) part of the idea is that your dedicated salesperson immediately sanitizes/wipes down anything you pick up? But of course, that just adds additional "pressure".

At the end of the day, we as a customer shouldn't feel "bad" going into a store just to browse. Or picking things up to look at, even if you don't think you'll buy right then. That could be the difference of you eventually buying online later on. Should think about it as it's the Apple employees job, and if they're not doing it for you, they'll be doing it for the next person. But realistically, I think a lot of people (myself included) would find it harder to do that than pre-COVID browsing - probably more so in Canada, where I think we have more of a "politeness" culture than in the US.

Just notified that my in-store pick up is ready for tomorrow morning.
