What case do you have on your Car covering the logo?

Google did something like this with their fabric cases. They do look nice, are hand and machine washable though they feel like cardboard and rather light in the hand.. However Google at the time was charging $39. These cases offer virtually NO protection so if that is a must, look elsewhere.

I'm sure having second thoughts over picking up a woven watch strap. I liked the look of the pictures very much (the brown one) but the picture of that case is enough to curdle the blood. I can somehow "feel" it already if you see what I mean. I'll check it out, but I am not too hopeful now.

This is far from true. Lots of people treat Apple products as luxury items and want to show off the branding. Others might not care or prefer to hide it.

As far as advertising space…seriously. You bought a product that already has the logo so are you saying any first party company that has their logo, which you don’t have to buy, should pay you? Don’t buy first party accessories then and good luck finding third parties that don’t have their branding all over their products.

I do not have a car, but if I had one, I would try to get rid of the logo. At least if it is one of those cars that other need for bragging.
And your Nikes… And your GAP…. and…. and…. and… and….
I do not know what a GAP is, but if I buy sportswear, I try to get rid of the logos. Sadly Nike made their shows in a way that they might fall apart, if you just cut the logos off. So your best option is to go for shoes where the logo at least has the same colour as the shoes. I like my Nike shoes, but I do not want to be associated with that brand, as it is often worn by criminals.

Thankfully, there are numerous third-party case makers, and most of their cases cost much less than Apple's. With that said, I'm glad Apple got rid of leather products. It's rare when I commend Tim Cook for anything, but this is one of those rare occasions. Although I eat meat and do wear leather shoes, I don't think it's right for a computer company like Apple to be selling animal products. It's just another sensitive political issue that is best for the company not to deal with. Selling leather is taking a stand on a potentially political issue, and that can isolate people.

If the company that makes your leather shoes, made and sold leather iPhone cases, would you be OK with that?

I guess I am not understanding your moral distinction between a computer company making a wearable leather product and a shoe company making a wearable leather product.

At least the Mother Nature is pleased, right?

Reports from the Verge and Nilay Patel (The Verge) with a couple of redditor comments. Somehow I can't seem to trust them that much - Yes it's scuffable and so was leather, so are the silicone cases, it's a fabric case and it will show wear - buy another of the thousands of other manufacturer cases there are out there if you don't like it!!

Yes it's expensive but it's apple! Remember the cost of the cleaning cloth?!?

I know right? How DARE a company put their logo on a product they made...the audacity! Just the other day I bought a pair of Nike trainers and they had the gall to put the logo on the sides! It's getting out of hand..I'm like a walking billboard.

Omg so much exaggeration. Walking Time Square would probably kill you

I’ve got my fine woven case ready for Friday.

I’m not convinced it’s any good but will wait until I have a phone in it before deciding and get a refund in store.

I really liked my Apple leather case and whilst leather production isn’t great for the environment it’s a functionally better material to protect a phone.

Definately a third party case year. I’ve always gone with Apple, but the silicon cases always chip, and this fabric looks terrible. Nomad makes some nice leather, and peak design has an interesting fabric case I’m checking out.

It will be interesting if Apple walks this back (not sure how), but I figure they made a killing off cases, and this might sting.

Then again, they might not care.
