I got my replacement from Caudabe and wanted to show a side by side, new vs. old. The older one was noticeably "browner" as someone else stated when compared to the newly released ones. Also, the Caudabe logo on the back was slightly redesigned it seems. The round company logo is slightly smaller than the old one and the embossed Caudabe font appears slightly smaller and thinner. Overall, it looks alot better than the previous one. And also, their customer service is some of the best I ever had to deal with, bar none. Highly recommend them. I hope one day they decide to include bottom coverage in their design, which would make this case absolutely complete.

Wow man, those are some eagle eyes you've got there. :) Great job. I wouldn't even have noticed if you didn't point this out.

Any experience with Caudabe Perimetric and Streamline cases. Do they provide any cushion from shocks. Perimetric says it has inner soft shell, any pics with that?

I've been using ThinShield. Got a blue version and a black version.

However, the black version looks a bit brown, like the Caudabe Wisp. But now I've seen that they've actually changed the Wisp to be more black (pictures a couple posts above this one), I am tempted to purchase it. I live in the UK, though. Does anyone know rough delivery times?

Could I still end up with a brown-tinted Wisp? Or do you think they've eradicated that entirely now, and I'll defo end up with the improved version?

Went ahead and ordered it. Costed £15 or so ($25) including delivery.

Said 10+ business days to deliver, I'm hoping I'll get lucky and it'll come earlier.

Looking forward to it. I'll post pictures, and do a review, etc.

Hope it isn't the brown-tinted black.

Great customer service as well. somehow I managed to develop a crack on the right hand corner. I never dropped the phone or anything like that. I has asked customer service if this was normal and they offered to send me a replacement

Received my Veil this week. This is a beautiful, super light and thin case that just feels really good in your hands. Protection is of course going to be minimal, but it adds the ability to rest your phone down and not worry about scuffing the back aluminum. When I removed the case for the first time, it cracked below the power button so I'll have to get in contact with customer service about that. No complaints aside from that.

Bottom line, this is a really nice case to give your iPhone some protection and retain most of its beauty. I would recommend using it with a screen protector of some kind.

Has anyone ever ordered from Caudabe for shipping internationally? How long does it take practically speaking? Thinking about sending one to a family member abroad as a gift

Yeah I've ordered one. International shipping to the Czech Republic. Ordered 2.1., delivered 10.1. Which is pretty good.. Expected it to arrive much later.

The only thing I dislike about this case is that frost like color to it. Feel like it diminishes the color. Also I feel it is pointless to buy a case if it offers zero protection against drops and impact.

The Veil is the "un-case" case. It's for those that want the thinnest protection (even if it's just scratch protection) and is the closest anyone will get to having a naked iPhone.

Having used it for the better part of a year, I can tell you that I love it precisely because it does protect against certain impacts. It just depends on what impacts you're talking about. I just want protection so that the back doesn't get scratched up when I put it in a pocket with keys. And I don't want my chamfered edges chipping off if I bump my phone inadvertently against another object. It performs admirably for that. If you want full on drop protection, then clearly you are not the target market for this case. Better off with a life proof or an Otterbox. But I suspect the type of person who loves the Veil would be repulsed by the idea of using either of those thick cases. Different strokes for different folks!

I love the thinness of the veil but it's not grippy enough for me. I went back to Luvvit crystal clear, it's a lot bulkier but I love the tpu sides

That's funny. I bought that for my better half and she did the opposite - went back to the Veil! I don't think she liked the slippery back of the Luvvitt or the bulk, for that matter.

It does have some impact protection, nothing spectacular but better than a naked phone.

I concur with thelookingglass. It is perfect for protecting the back and edges, which get chipped real easily. I also have a nice glass screen protector so even if my phone does fall, it should survive.

Okay. I get the whole point of the thinness now. Though I'm still not crazy about the frost like color though.

Why don't you like it? I've seen the frost on both the silver and the gold iPhones and I think it looks great. I literally cannot tell they have a case on unless I look carefully. The gold is definitely a little bit washed out because of the frost, but on the silver I think it looks fine.

Guys, could you please help me decide. I'm debating between the The Veil by Caudabe or a blue iPhone 5s leather case by Apple. Anyone have both?

Those are two incredibly different cases. You need to decide whether you want minimal protection or not. The Veil is like going naked. Some people may or may not like that. The Apple case is good quality, but there have been many reports of the color fading and rubbing off. Pros and cons to both, but given how thin the Veil is, the first question I'd ask is whether you want something completely minimal or not.

I decided to get The Veil. Thanks!

i just picked up the veil from Amazon since they started offering it with Prime shipping. got here today and it really is shockingly thin!

Caudabe Veil short review

Just received it. The thinnest case I've ever seen! It's an excellent case for protection from scratches but not falls, in my opinion.
