Caudabe Veil short review

That is sort of lame. Weird why that's the case. I wonder if Prime will kick in after a few more days. I've ordered direct from Caudabe before and shipping was pretty quick. Definitely not as quick as Prime though.
 
Has anyone taken their fingernail and scratched lightly on the case? It leaves marks that don't come out...wtf

Why were you taking a fingernail and purposely scratching your case? :p

All joking aside, yeah, I noticed this too. It was a little weird at first, but doesn't really bother me. Same thing happens with any sort of a clear case over time, frankly. My $15 Caudabe Veil is there to pick up the scratches that would've hit my $850 phone. And the thing is translucent enough that I don't really see the scratches unless I'm really looking for it. I had this case for about 6 months before I replaced it with a new one. Still going strong.

I had some of my trail mix bar gunk on my phone so I went to get it off and noticed. Still surprised this happens even though its not a big deal.

I just recently bought one for family in London. Got there in one week which I was pleasantly surprised by.
 
About into a month of ownership (frost) the case does have scratches and misc marks, but still going strong. I am usually sliding it on my desk or night table so it is to be expected. Still looks fine and protected the phone on one drop onto tile (on its back)

Very happy with my purchase, I still recommend to my friends/family as long as they do not need heavy duty protection. Would not recommend to my wife :D
 
Any way of getting this in Canada? Amazon.com won't ship it and its canadian counterpart doesn't have the veil case listed. Caudabe itself ships to canada but shipping is almost as much as the case itself.

Any suggestions?
 
My veil wisp just arrived but its not as snug fitting with the zagg invisible shield on the back.. question is, do I remove it?

Edit: Actually it does feel ok now after playing around with it..

Shouldn't it fit more snugly if you have something on the back already?

I'm the same here, I've had it for about it a month and I love it. I had the Desmay case before and there were issues with it quality wise that were driving my OCD up the wall so I went back to my Ringke slim for a while until I decided to give the Caudabe a shot and I love it. My next phone will definitely be wearing a case by Caudabe. The precision is much better than the Desmay slight.
 
To anyone that has ordered this to the UK. Who delivers the USPS priority international packages when it gets to the UK?

I only ask as I have ordered one of these cases and been tracking it online but the latest status is:

Addressee not available - Addressee advised to pick up the item UNITED KINGDOM February 5, 2014 4:21 pm

That's great and all but there was no "sorry we missed you" card so I don't have a clue where or who to ring up to sort out getting it!

Would really appreciate anyones experience on this.
 
Never-mind I plugged in my USPS tracking number into all the couriers I could think of and managed to get a result with ParcelForce.

Turns out my package is being held in the post office sort of nearby. Shoddy service not to leave some sort of notification of delivery.

I don't know about the UK, but in the US the us postal service has the worst service of all the mail carriers. I think it's just par for the course when you're dealing with government agencies, unfortunately. I've frequently had lost mail through usps and I wouldn't be surprised if the same happened in the UK with the local carrier there.

the tolerances are already extremely tight. something like a rear back protector is too thick. this case was designed down to like a hair widths tolerance. on my bare iphone 5s, the one corner took some coaxing to get it all the way snapped on and seated properly. i can even imagine what it would be like to have a rear protector.

Mine was delivered by Royal Mail. The tracking details were only available until the package left the USA, after that there is no way to track it..

It arrived after 2 weeks from the day I ordered. no need to sign for anything, postman just put it through the door..

I had a Ghost Armor skin on the back of my 5S and the Veil still fit and fit decently. I have since removed the GA as it was starting to bubble up.
 
I ordered one yesterday via Prime so I should get it shortly. I was using the Rocketfish soft clear for the back but I want to try this one too. Thanks for your opinions and I hope I like it.
 
I was looking into buying this case for my iPhone 5 and I see it's on Amazon with free Prime shipping. Awesome!

I didn't really like the look of the Wisp version with my black iPhone 5. It looked too dark. Is it ridiculous to get the Frost version instead? I haven't seen any pictures of it online and was curious. Thanks.

I thought I read here the frost was clear basically and the product description on amazon read 99% transparent so that is what I bought.
