My Veil Wisp is about 6 months old. I've noticed recently, it's loosened...especially in warmer temps. I can slightly slide my iPhone 5s up and down in the case.

Yeah, the material is so thin and flexible I'm not all that surprised. I think it just depends on how much heat you subject your phone to. I've had mine for several months and I haven't had any issues at all aside from some scratching (but that's my fault). Then again, it's not that hot where I am and my phone just isn't generally subjected to a lot of heat during operation.

Worth a shot emailing Caudabe and asking if they can replace it. I looked for warranty information on their website and didn't find anything, but in my own experience they've been incredibly good about standing behind their products. I've read multiple people on here contact them several months after purchase and getting free replacements. Doesn't hurt to try.

Since it was 6 months old and only $18, I ordered another. I wouldn't expect Caudabe to replace it after that much use.

The new case has arrived and it's a good tight fit. The old case really loosened/softened up. I hadn't realized how much until I put on the new case.

Anyone tried this case? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MIo5RQAfTpw

CaseCrown MN Case http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...veASIN=B00DC4IT68&linkCode=as2&tag=myte0d9-20

Wondering how it compares to the Veil at less than half the price..

Just thought I'd mention I ordered this as my Veil also loosened over time and I didn't want to pay another $15 dollars. I can say that this case is almost exactly the same as the Veil. The only difference I see is the casecrown logo (doesn't bother me) and more texture to the surface which I actually prefer. I also find the fit to be better around the sleep/wake button but that may just be a coincidence. Overall I recommend this over the Veil especially at more than half the price.

I tried the CaseCrown, too. It's very similar. But, a few things I don't like about it and ultimately what led me to go back to my Veil. One is the logo, which you already mentioned. It's big, printed and ugly (in my opinion). I much prefer how Caudabe embosses their logo so that, unless you look carefully, you can't even see it. And two, the fit of the CaseCrown was oddly off right around the volume control buttons. It just didn't fit tightly over that one area. Not sure if this was an isolated incident or what, but it just makes the case feel really cheap. My Veil snaps very tightly over the entire phone and just feels like better quality.

But anyway, I mentioned this earlier, you should try asking Caudabe for a replacement if you have problems with your Veil. They're actually surprisingly responsive and lenient. I got a replacement with them well after I purchased my first one. Big fan of service like that.

Yeah, I mean the thing to realize about cases like this is that they're a dime a dozen. If you want to go real cheap, just get one of the knockoffs on eBay. I think maybe Amazon even has some. The problem is that.....well.....there are frequently issues when you go cheap, speaking from personal experience. In the case of the Veil, I don't mind giving money to companies with good quality control and companies that stand behind their products. I have no issue paying a little extra for a good product that I can be reasonably assured will receive good service if something goes wrong. And that's exactly what's happened with my experience with the Veil. Good service buys my loyalty. I stick with Apple for largely the same reasons.

Now the minute I DON'T have a good experience with Caudabe? Well then I'll probably try out something else. Yay for capitalism!

Your post made me try removing the logo like I had already thought since it is printed and not embossed. A little rubbing alcohol took it to almost completely gone. I have no issues with the fit at all and it truly is identical to the Veil. I think with these cases being so thin there is bound to be discrepancies with fit and since I ordered the casecrown from amazon I know that returns would be easy. I agree with buying from a company that stands behind the product but at the same time for half the price I figure it's worth the difference for some.

That's hilarious. I ought to try rubbing alcohol sometime because there are some companies out there with some hideous logos on their products.

Can I just say that I'm such a cheap ba$tard that I've gotten no fewer than 3 replacements in the last 9 months from Caudabe? Considering I paid $14.95 for one, that works out to a little less than $5 per case, lol. Although, I've bought 5 of them as gifts and introduced a ton of people to the Veil so I sort of feel justified. :D But, I do agree - their customer service is nothing short of amazing.

I noticed mine also started getting loose but it's outside the "warranty" period. Maybe I should contact them and see what they say.

An update on my case. I emailed Caudabe last night, and received a reply this morning (Sunday). I couldn't believe they were answering emails on a Sunday. They asked me to send pics and video of the case being a little loose and they will send me a replacement asap. I couldn't ask for a easier or better customer service experience. I'll be looking to them for my iPhone 6 case and now I'm considering ordering it for my iPad as well. A+++

btw, the case is exactly what I wanted originally. It keeps the size of the iPhone nearly identical with scratch protection. I have removed the phone 3 times to clean some dust and the phone is still in mint condition. Even with the little wiggle room/loose case, it has not caused any scratches to both my and my wife's iPhones.

Ha, that's pretty cool. My experience with Caudabe customer service has been very similar. They respond ridiculously fast.

Reminds me of my experience with 1800contacts.com. Call their customer service and a person always - ALWAYS - picks up right away. And they are extremely accommodating.

That's always a pleasant surprise.

I was watching a game and I accidentally dropped my iPhone 5s on my marble floor :(

This is my second Caudabe Veil. And BTW, nothing happened to my iPhone, not even a scratch.

That literally just happened to me, too, except I dropped mine on concrete. The case is torn but my phone was flawless - not a scratch on it. I'm actually really surprised the phone is completely undamaged considering how thin the case is.

Same here. I had no idea the case is really that protective.

My phone got too beat up in a Veil. I'm back to my old clear Luvitt, but have an extra Veil that I might try again when I'm not working on the run. Stuff had happened like dropping the phone on a rough granite floor while moving swiftly through a train station. Scratches to sides and bevel happened. Parts of Veil split off. Several drops later, I eventually had to get the phone replaced when I realized my headphone jack got deformed and unable to accept a headphone plug.

Well, i think that that could have been expected...? After too many drops, things naturally will break...

All it takes is just one of the right kind of drop. Like down escalator stairs. Or landing on the corner onto granite and then sliding across on its face. I'll put my new-in-box Veil on when I'm working at home at a desk and with plush carpet underfoot. But out in the field, I'll be swapping it out for a durable case.

Wow, that is a lot of swapping. I don't think I could do that. It's either Veil or nothing for me. But I just work in an office all day, so I don't need lots of protection.
