Caudabe Veil short review

I did the same against my better judgment and got two of the knockoffs on eBay. Quality was as expected - awful. One of them didn't even fit correctly and the other was a really weird texture.

I emailed Caudabe and they said it would be another week or so. This was last Friday. I had them add me to a list to be notified when they have more in stock.

Got one off ebay for the heck of it. Better than expected, looks great! :)

Can you SIC the link to this eBay case?

Does the case on the sides cover up to the "bezel" or what you call the "glass" of the screen? Do not want to leave the "bezel" exposed in case I accidentally damaged it or something.

The sides come up and wraps the chamfered edge but that's about it. It's pretty leveled with the bezel.
 
Are the fake cases satisfactory as an interim until the Caudabe versions become available again ?

Another question is if they're satisfactory enough to forgo the real Cadaube?

It's all really at your own risk. You can probably find some that are fine, just like you can find fake Spigen and Speck cases that are probably fine. But then again, you can find some that are just horrible quality. And some from sellers that are horrible to deal with. These cases aren't so expensive that I mind paying a little extra to wait on the real thing and at least get good customer service if anything goes wrong.

That's encouraging. I've been rocking a clear Luvvit in the meantime and would like to give that case a rest. I have a feeling I'll be Caudabe Veiling a whole bunch. Fingers crossed for around a week from now. :)

I hope all those who signed up for notifications get the notification.
 
Ok, I admit to making a rookie mistake despite not being a rookie. I too was impatiently waiting for the Veil. Decided on a whim to order on Amazon from one of those knockoff sellers. I KNEW it was a knockoff but I bought it anyway. Lo and behold, I received it yesterday and it's not even close to the Caudabe. It's a hard plastic case that isn't thin at all. Doesn't even look or feel remotely like the Veil. Hilarious how these sellers can get away selling stuff like this.

Got my Caudabe Veil in Wisp for my Space Grey 5s. Exactly how I imagined it would be. Thin and light as air. The color looks a bit bronze in direct sunlight but it fits the Space Grey.

There is however, some rough edges around the 4 corner of the case, but you can only see it if you look for it as it didn't bother me much.

I am happy with it, and I recommend those looking for the slimmest,thinnest case, this is the THE one.

Nice... oddly enough I think the clear would look better on the black iphone after looking at this photo.
 
I checked again and it looks like the Veil is back in stock on the Caudabe website. I just ordered 5. lol figure they're cheap anyway and good to pass out as gifts. I doubt they'll get here by Christmas, but that's fine.
