Hi Kallum, they were available on both, however, due to the amount of material we were getting through (the iPads Pros use much more material than phones) we're limiting it to the website to ensure we won't run out. We're looking to sort US-domestic fulfilment sometime in 2019 (I'd like to think sooner rather than later), as we do appreciate that many people are hesitant about importing from overseas :)

For those who uses the iPad naked: Did you have or ever had some scratches?

It's frustrating me that there is actually no glass protection which works 100%. On the other side, I don't want some scratches on my iPad.

That would be a job to give grey hairs...putting on screen protectors all day! Stuff of nightmares.
Hope you’ll be pleasantly surprised at the result...the MediaDevil fits perfectly, no one using my iPad has realised that it has a protector fitted. Has converted me from glass.

Well it’s a retail kiosk selling iPhone and iPad cases and other accessories as well as fixing displays and putting on screen protectors. They charge me only £2 so for me that’s good value as if I did it myself I would have messed it up. They always do a perfect job so I’m happy to go to them and pay for it to be done.

There is always a chance of getting scratches if you don’t use a screen protector of some sort no matter how careful you are.

Moved on to ESR, Tethys was working 9/10 but the oleophobic coating started to suck. Surprised to see that ESR is as oil resistant as JETech yet as easy to apply as Tethys. Again this is within 2 hours of installation now so the touch response is perfect for now. I hope this is the end but life doesn’t play nice more often than not.

Btw we gotta recognize that some people prefer a surface with sligh resistance while the others (like me) prefer a totally slick and clean surface. The fingerprint and oily grimes from my sweaty paws kill the joy of using a fast tablet like this.

Let us posted?

So I decided to install the second Orzera screen as I had a suspicion that maybe because I had lifted the first so much to remove dust it lost some of it’s adhere-ness? Lol, that maybe that had something to do with it being a little less responsive. The second went on with only one re-lift to remove dust, so far it’s a 9 1/2 out 10. It sometimes takes two touches to input t, e, I, or p, every blue moon, (so very rarely does it have an issue)... aleast for now. *knock on wood.

I’m going to ride this out in hopes ZAGG or someone makes a new glass cover that solves 99% of these issues, or Apple hears about this issues somehow and s able to do something... until then, the second Orzero is working much better.

Kallum.

Yeah I’m on Tethys...
...
Unfortunately, the double taps in game came back. Very obvious in comparison to my 3-day testing on bare screen. Swiping and tapping don’t seem to be affected outside the game though since I’m typing all these words without noticing any lack of response. I’ll give it another day. If it still acts up in game I’ll move on to esr, if it should fail again I’ll move back to JETech and call it a day. At least I get the best oleophobic coating I’ve seen so far.

This description was very much my own experience - I had the Tethys on my 12.9, I had the same “double tap” issue, and it seemed to be only in game as well. I didn’t notice scrolling or tapping issues in other applications.
I finally had to take it off because it was interfering too much and screwing up some of my (COC) attacks. I have a mediadevil on its way, so hopefully it will be better.

I have a glass protector on my 12.9 with zero issues and I have seen many others as well - the issues seem to be mostly with the 11” which I also have and have gone thru 3-4 glass screen protectors and even returned the 11” for larger storage one and having same touch issues but none on the 12.9 with same brand screen protector.
What brand are you using?

This is what Mediadevil send me after a week of waiting.....

What’s is this???
Seems it’s made for the 11” version with home button?

Not a satisfying experience, shipping is slow. Product is shipped from Germany to Netherlands. Took more then a week.
For this price range, hoping the customer service is giving me a more plesant experience.

Is there anyone on here from, Australia that has ordered a MediaDevil?
Have you received it and how long did it take to arrive?
Mine was shipped on 21/11 and still no sign of it.
I paid for the shipping option that includes tracking but of course that stopped when it arrived in Aus.

I want to know about this too. How long has yours been in Aus? Customs check etc usually take a few days, have you tried calling aus post(assuming they take over shipment in Aus)? Sometimes they know stuff(like where it’s scanned and if it has passed through customs) even though it says untrackable on their site.

I ordered mine on 30/11 and now waiting, it seems it had just been scanned in Australia yesterday (10/12).

This is (I think) off-topic for the thread so I am posting this with the prior-disclaimer that I am responding to an existing post in the attempt to provide support.

Hi, that is extremely regrettable and I'm so sorry about it. Please, drop us an email with your order number and we'll get this sorted :)

You mentioned slow shipping:

- We offer DHL Express as an option to all customers, which is 1-2 days guaranteed to the Netherlands. It's not exactly cheap, but we offer it at the price it costs us and it's very good value for what it is. Other users have here have already remarked about how fast it was.

- Like all other online businesses, we are reliant on the international postal system. Our delivery timescales are clearly stated on our website. We even state i) the 'official' timescales quoted by the postage system and ii) our unofficial opinion of the timescales our customers should assume. That's how much we believe in transparency, we'd rather lose a sale than gain an unhappy customer.

- Orders shipped during the very busiest period of the e-commerce calendar are unlikely to break any delivery speed records. Standard deliveries from the UK to the Netherlands can sometimes be as fast as 2-3 business days (I myself once received a standard mail delivery from Hong Kong in 3 days!), however, that is very much the exception rather than the rule, much like getting all-green traffic lights on your drive to work :)

Bodyguardz brand, but I would guess any glass protector should work on the 12.9 as it doesn’t seem to be affected the same as the 11”.
Unfortunately the 12.9" models have the same input issues the 11" has, Apple did something more different than liquid retina on these new models... one would think they would have INCREASED sensitivity but these seem the opposite.

Kallum.

I’m sure I mentioned this early on but don’t forget to leave your feedback on Apple’s website about this issue. Take a quick moment to drop some lines about your experience with glass screen protectors and the new Liquid Retina iPad Pro: https://www.apple.com/feedback/ipad.html

I can’t live without a screen protector. Had to peel mine off just yesterday because the new brand I tried that claimed to have full touch sensitivy was worse than the launch day one I bought. Going to resort to a plastic screen protector next.

Nope. I suppose if you are irresponsible with your devices or just throw your iPad across the room, I can see why a screem protector is warranted.

Look there are not phones, the chances of scratching the screen (if taken care of respectively) is slim.

Sadly, yes, I’ve had a scratched iPad.. Suspect the cause was a ring worn by my wife but it left a small scratch. Small but once you had noticed it, very irritating. Hence I’ve fitted protectors since.

Sorry I don’t understand German but isn’t that just a normal plastic film screen protector?

If so, I am using one currently(bought a random one off amazon) while waiting for the MD screen protector and they get scratches way too easily. I personally don’t really mind plastic but I prefer the feel and smoothness of glass. The most annoying thing about them imo is how easy they get scratched. Just by some random dust on your fingers and then you swipe = scratches.

Yes, it is.

I know that this is not ideal, since I too prefer the glass. But at the moment there is no alternatives. I prefer this than naked.
