Have you heard of the lawsuit, where some US lady microwaved her cat to “dry it”, then sued the microwave company for millions, that there was not written in manual, it should not be used for drying pets? And she won!

since then, I feel not many things can really surprise me :)
always check Snopes, my friend ;-)

Jokes apart, Apple products are no longer the same quality they used to be. My iPad Air 2 came through 7 strong years with zero flaws but all their recent pro iPads had issues.

The 2017 iPad Pro 12.9 has a screen defect with the lamination that causes bright dots/ pixels to appear on the screen around 1-2 years after using them right when you are out of warranty as the screen loosens. There is a 50 page thread here on these forums documenting many users having this issue. This was far more serious than the uproar about jelly scrolling as those bright spots completely ruined the viewing experience. I had to sell this tablet for $50 when I had purchased it for $1100 because the entire left side got filled with bright dots over months of waiting.

The 2018 iPad Pro I have has a very weak chassis as it’s slightly bent although I have not put any weight on it. Easily seen when placed flat on a table and there is no balance on both ends.

Needless to say, AppleCare Plus is a must on any iPad I buy from Apple. I just bought the 2021 variant with it.

I’m compiling everything together to file a Class Action Lawsuit over this. If anyone wants to partake please comment with the issues this jelly scrolling has caused to your well being. Feel free to send me PM’s as well, if we’re able to win this we could make them fix the problem. I hope we one day get the mini 6 without this issue, and this is a way we can make it happen.
Are u ****in nuts?

But still, its so difficult to tell these days...

  • This would never have happened if Steve Jobs was around ✅
  • Class Action Lawsuit ✅
  • Worst product ever ✅
  • "I know nobody is making me keep it and I could just return it for a full refund and buy something else, but if I did that, what else would I have to complain about?" ✅
  • I've been a loyal and long term customer* and demand satisfaction ✅
  • Needs to google "objective v subjective" and "opinion v fact" ✅
Am I missing any of the usual things that get posted on here at every single new product launch?

* Since at least the iPhone 6. "What do you mean they make computers too?"

The thing is, Apple products are best of the worst, so we can’t have Tim squeezing out a couple of dollars more out of every unit for things we pay a premium for. I also pay more than $50 a month for subscriptions that I could just pirate on Android. Why should I keep doing that if they are going to sell me a tablet that will either
1) Suffer from jelly scrolling, a DEFECTIVE screen
2) Have a Super Duper Retina Ultra Quantum Teledildonics screen which just has a 60hz IPS LCD panel underneath
3) Bend, because it has such a flimsy frame (Not to mention 12” iPad Pro has a four digit price tag. Ridiculous!)

The emotional suffering from paying nearly a thousand dollars (even if you can get it back) for this subpar product. The motion sickness, nausea, vomiting, migraines; and a myriad of other symptoms. Some people may have missed time from work due to the symptoms and should be compensated for their lost wages as well as for the pain & suffering. It also affects peoples mental health having to reach a tough decision about whether to return this device, for myself it has caused sleepless nights. When people are sleep deprived they are functionally similar to somebody who has drank over the legal limit. People may start getting into car accidents due to this. Pilots who use this in portrait mode (as advertised) in the cockpit might get into a plane crash and die because of the jelly scrolling distorting the flight map. This is an iPad from hell.
This is like a textbook example of why US civil law is absolutely ridiculous. You have taken the butterfly effect way too far. If hope you lose this case solely because of this.

If I didn't know any better, your comment read like you were joking. If you believe what you wrote, you have issues man, which is WAY above first world problems. People get way too attached to electronic gadgets these days.

All of my tablets iPad's and Samsung Galaxy Tabs have wavy scrolling which is now called jelly scrolling (still trying to figure out how that came to be) but life goes on and I don't get hung up about it. I guess that comes with age as you get older like 63 yrs old.

Good grief, just return it and get an Android tablet. I played with the mini yesterday at the Apple store and I didn’t notice anything while scrolling. My life wasn’t completely destroyed by it and I doubt any of the horrors you imagine will happen in real life. So the basis of this suit is that Apple owes you a perfect product?

Don't forget multiple posts demanding Tim Cook be immediately fired, launched from a catapult into the sun, etc.

This site has become a caricature.

This is satire right? No one is this much of a doofus in real life.

You wish to sue Apple because an LCD display is behaving like an LCD display normally does?

Curious, are you too young to remember being able to literally watch the scan line on a CRT?

Do you sue Kelloggs because your cereal is crunchy?

No offense, but these types of things are why I think society is full of entitled whiny people. Ugh. Are you related to the "person" that spilled coffee on themselves then proceeded to sue Mcdonalds because they got burned? UGH!!!!

Honestly, I don’t see a lawyer taking on the case to begin with. Apple’s not forcing anyone to buy the mini 6 and there’s a 14-day return policy if someone’s not happy with theirs. For those affected, this isn’t an issue that manifests itself over time. It’s obvious from first use.
You're kidding right? At least here in America there is ALWAYS a lawyer willing to take on stupidity and try to defend it. That's what makes society such garbage at times.

So you should research this. It was a valid lawsuit. The story is super fascinating. People quote this as an example of a frivolous lawsuit it it’s really not. It was really influential in tort reform and led to some good stuff. She was late 70s and the coffee was almost 200 and required many surgeries to repair. The reason we hear this as an example of a frivolous lawsuit is largely due to McDonald’s and corporate media directing the narrative. I have 0 tolerance for asinine lawsuits but imo this was not one of them.

This thread is some top tier trolling, but how many times do we as a society need to debunk the misconception that the McDonald’s coffee burning lawsuit was frivolous?

There must be plenty of actually BS lawsuits to reference. I mean the “mysterious screen cracking problem on the M1 Macbooks” lawsuit is right there.

Putting aside the fact that OP is obviously joking/trolling, I hope you realize that U.S. class action law provides numerous defenses against a hypothetical class action of the type described here. If this were real, it would be a textbook example of how U.S. civil law prevents a putative class based on people with subjective and widely varying injuries to ever be certified.

Aren't these the very basic civil rights written on the 22ft granite and brick walls of city hall?
