Looks like your parents wouldn't mind buying them for you. Just ask ;)

That was kinda rude.

Here's my old one before I moved house. I am lucky enough to afford everything I need and not live on campus. But then again I am a bit older than most of you.

Somebodies a musician. :D Nice setup.

(Completely different subject: I just saw this line on my iBook screen... it was making the color all weird... so I started to freak [   ] luckly it was just a hair !!! :) )

Don't know if I count, I go to uni but I have my own apartment - I don't stay in a college. But here is my setup - easily the best most attractive on MacRumours. :D

You sure do! The styrofoam (sp.) & cardboard really makes your setup standout! :p

Damn right, hope you weren't being sarcastic or POW!!

Ah well, I know it's not flashy or modern but it's all mine, all bought with my hard earned and it works.

I'm about a quarter of the way to getting a new 2GB nano so that will go nicely on the desk. Gonna take a while though - very unlikely to get one for my birthday so it's up to me to squirrel as much as I can away before the Christmas buying season really kicks in (decorations have been up for over a week now - is that just totally insane or what?? we don't have Halloween or Thanksgiving either so there's nothing to take the emphasis off) and all the nanos disappear. The 4GB ones went from being about 20 deep on all the shelves to completely absent in about a week and a half.

The cardboards scaring me.... it looks like the iBook could just fall right threw!

Your iPod "docks" are awesome!

It's OK, calm down, there's only little holes on the top of the styrofoam. It won't fall "through."

Thanks on the docks though, took me almost ten minutes with a ruler, a permanent pen and a utility knife but they turned out pretty well. Made the one for my 3G a bit too deep so the cords have to go out the front. I'm going up to my parents house for a couple of days this week (holidays yay!) so I'll rummage around for some more styrofoam up there.

Yeah, the docks are cool. You should patent it. ;)

Here's mine... I'll be 19 next week and I'm a freshmen with a major in mass media. Can't tell you enough how much I love Dell's 24" screen... one of the best purchases I've ever made.

Not nearly as cool as some of your set-ups

I have a 15" Pb 1.25 Ghz, a Logitech MX1000, 1g Shuffle, Altec Lansing ATP3 that are 4 years old but that truly sound amazing, and a crappy Sony DSC-W1 5.0MP that this picture was taken with. Can't wait till i get a real job then maybe i'll do the dual 20" widescreen and a dual 3 ghz intel PowerMac. But until then this is what i got for now at school.

Sorry, i thought it was going to create a thumbnail or a link rather than embedding that big pic into the post.

I have to run now, i'll try to fix it later tonight.

Grad school count?

I think so.

machine is a dual g4 500 GE w/ 1.38 GB of ram, radeon 9000 pro; 2x80 gig internal (OS, video scratch); 2x160 gig external (RAID 1 for storage), 2xDell 1905fp displays. Sony DVD reader internal, Plextor DL burner external. EyeTV 200, LaCie CDRW just for grins. (I know its ancient, but it ain't broke yet and I can wait for intel macs).

To the left is a ca feb 2005 rev D powerbook; 1.5 ghz, 1 GB ram.

The iPod(s) are both at their new homes, and the nano arrives sometime this week.

Sorry the images suck, but I can't be bothered to buy a real camera, the Nokia will have to do. (The fact I have no real source of overhead light in the room doesn't help).

Not pictured: Gaming PC, firewall pc, printer, woman, entire headphone collection.

how do u like those logitech speakers?

I really like them, especially considering the price. I listen to lots of different genres of music and they are great. I also have them plugged into my DVD player which is super..

Hmm, you wouldn't happen to know the actual name of the color your room was painted with.. I like it a lot. :)
