Thank you. This is perfect. True tone looks more balanced with this.
Yes, it’s true

I find looking at the phone from a different angle makes the screen look so much better. I'm going to compare mine to the displays phones at Apple and see what the end result is
Yep. It makes the white look too yellow IMO. I turned it off and now I'm happy again. I wasn't really needing this feature to begin with.I normally LOVE TrueTone and had it on my iPhone 8 Plus...but on the X it’s super yellow.
If you do mpare your iPhone X side by side with older iPhone 7/8 with TrueTone you’ll see the X looks really yellow.
By disabling TrueTone on the X it looks just like the 8 Plus (with TrueTone on).
Anyone else turn off TrueTone on the X?
Are you posting to post? Or looking for the comfort of debate? Are you asking for the sake of asking, or looking for comfort in your decision to disable it?
Of course someone called Zombie would choose to blindly regurgitate a dead myth. The yellow goes away once the glue has dried.

TT on, and then adjust Hue.Question- when adjusting the color tint, are you guys adjusting the color while TT on or off?
How you knew the factory names? My factory is c39
Thanks
I am a photographer and have been waiting patiently to upgrade to the iPhone X since my last phone has been the 6 (not even the S). And I was like most of you here disappointed by the screen color tone and something about it didn’t feel as nice and solid compared to the LCD of my previous iPhone and iPads.
Having said that. I think there are two issues. 1. The overall yellow tint. 2. The off angle viewing color shift.
What I have found is mainly a solution to the first problem. And it kind of takes care of the second problem a bit on its way.
What you should try doing is going to Settings - General - Accessibility - Display Accomodations - Color Filters
Once in there, turn it on. And select “Color Tint” from the options.
Keep the “intensity” at the lowest possible setting.
And move the “hue” to about 2/3 of the way. Then once generally there. Slightly fine tune it by moving it left and right. To the left you’ll get a more green tint. To the right you’ll get a more red tint. In the middle you’ll have a perfect blue tint to counteract the yellowness of the display and give you something as close to neutral white as possible.
To check your results scroll back up and toggle the “Color Filters” on and off to see the difference.
I attached a screenshot of the setting.
Hope this helps.

Yep, my bad one was G6 and good one also is F1. With True Tone on my new one looks pretty good even without adjusting the hue. It’s warm but not yellow like my old one.Pop your serial in here: http://www.chipmunk.nl/klantenservice/applemodel.html and it will give you the name of the factory along with production week.
My bad phone was C3 and the good one F1.

It's definitely not as pretty as the LCD I find lol. Might return :/#yellowaspissgate
I'm troubled by those that speak of extreme angles. My colour shift is such that even when looked at directly on access the length of the phone gives enough angle to see blue at the top and yellow at the bottom. The tiniest tilt on top of that it it goes straight from yellow tint to bright white / blue.
There is no extreme angle here, it's incredibly distracting!
