2.66 QCX ? Q like in Quad and C in Core? Definitely Nehalem, with this having 3 GB.

Is that the answer of Apple about the mid tower and quad core people were asking about? Could the MB871LLA be a really low-end Mac Pro?

Why does it have a faster processor tho? I think the 3x1 may have been a typo and was supposed to be 3x2.

Maybe the 2.66 is a quad (QCX -> Quad Core) , while the 2.26 is an 8 core (8CX -> 8 core)?
 
Could be interesting.

I really wanted a new mighty mouse though. Not a happiness breaker for me but it would have been great. Wonder what the odds are of that happening...

Except you look at all his previous posts, where he has released the information ahead of time on a few different products, including MacBooks, iLife, and now the iMacs. He definitely got it right each time, despite the fact he doesn't post very often.

I really want a keyboard with a trackpad.
Or an external trackpad.
Something to get me multitouch on my non-multitouch Mac.

Looking at the specs, I'm ready to bet a lot of people will shoot a loud "WTF" tomorrow. Some of these specs are horrible. I don't know how the Nehalem Mac Pro will perform, but the processor has a lesser clock rate then the last generation. Nothing new on the iMac front, with probably 9400m and 9600 GT cards, a Mini with no new processor...

This is what he does. He posts, then leaves. Im pretty sure he works for/around apple and only posts these things.

The name Mr X is a pretty good indication of his motives.

Why exactly does the mini need a new processor (what would they use anyway)?

All these specs show exactly what this is and why there is no event, its a spec bump.
 
Yeah I do find him the ultimate suspicious character. The name lends itself so well to his posting as if he registered on this website JUST to do what he does. But is not allowed to discuss it or something.

This is all too much to wrap my head around at 2am.

People are always upset with what Apple comes out with. Upgrades are never good enough unless it's a complete overhaul and redesign of the system.

Well, I guess even the guy in the alley will get some to take investment advice from him! As for me, nothing is "confirmed" until Apple announces it.
