Tell me, how do you fake SKU's off the top of your head and get them right?

Im not saying these are confirmed, but I do give X the benefit of the doubt when it comes to the SKU's.

I'm not expecting an event but I am at least expecting competitive specs from Apple. The Minis and iMacs got NO new processors, maybe only new GPU, hardly a speed boost (Betting this is only going to be 9400m, 9600m GT and MAYBE 9800 GT) considering all the new processor that are now out. So far the only interesting for me is the new wireless keyboard (If it ever comes with black keys, I'm going to be really happy) and the low-end quad core Pro.

Sad thing that's the first time I actually bitch about Apple.

EDIT: Forgot about the ram. That's actually nice from Apple to max the Ram at some place. All the 24'' have 4GB. At least a really good thing done.
 
For me, personally:

-making 24 inch the new standard after entry = AWESOME because I was planning on getting a 20 (not because I prefer it)

-4 gigs of ram standard with a max of 8 is awesome

-nvidia graphics is awesome

-larger hard drive is awesome

And I really don't care about quad cores or high processor speeds, I don't really to extremely intensive things that even use that stuff.
 
Am i seeing ghosts here but are those google ads on this page constantly saying: new this, new that; linking me to the apple store but not seeing any changes yet there? Does Google know more than Apple? :p
 
So will the iMacs come with Snow Leopard or will that be later to squeeze more $$$ out of us when we upgrade?

AND BTW i am pretty happy with the iMac (ultimate) cause i was planning on the 3.06 GHz and the fact that it has 2x RAM and 2x hard drive space and possibly better graphics card is GOOD (especially the RAM)

BTW i was thinking that snow leopard was all about "leaving more room for music and photos" (WEBSITE quote) so it makes sense that the Hard drive space will increase and the RAM also increase to make the system run smoother on Snow Leopard (even though SL wont really need it) AND also Vista will also run better so Apple is getting ready to go up against Vista even more and Windows 7 later ???

So if this is really happening tomorrow than the store should go down any time soon considering it's three in the morning. Then again that's eastern...
 
i don't think it will be tomorrow, sounds too good to be true, just all of a sudden, like less than 24 hours??


Apple usually announces dates a week before right?

I think it WILL be within March for sure now MAYBE.

Not if it's a "silent" speed bump. There's a chance that they won't do a desktop event after all.

But the SKU codes wouldn't go into systems this early if the release is 2/3 weeks away and it seems there are too many individual people posting the SKU's for them to be fake and Mr. X has had a good track record.

And this might be a way of just releasing updates and proving they dont need a big Media events like MacWorld:rolleyes:
 
LOL its actually really exciting i just got into Macs and wanting to get an iMac like a month ago so its all new to me.

I wonder if there will be a slight design change, like thinner, bigger, less 'chin' ???
 
Ahhh damn pacific time. I should probably go to sleep then since it's almost 4am here and the anticipation is too much. Time to use time machine (aka my bed).

To be honest with you I cant see a design change for the iMac as the other products in Apples line up are now conforming to the Metal casings with black glass screens design.


Oh BTW welcome to Apple Rumor roller coaster :D
 
So, what's the deal with this? I really want an iMac, and really want to see what the new ones are like. When are these supposedly coming out?

why wouldn't it? Not everyone uses the mini as a htpc or server farm. Plenty use it as a desktop mac. It should have similar specs to the imacs imo - general use desktop but with mobile parts due to the small form factor
 
I just hope that one of these new iMacs will be less than $1800 (australian dollars) and be able to play StarCraft II and Diablo III. :D
