To me this is kind of like the argument of Coke vs. Pepsi. Have you ever seen Coke release an ad bashing Pepsi? Nope. When you're #1 you don't need to talk trash about the competition. When you're #2 apparently that's what you're supposed to do, although I don't know how effective it's ever been.

You must be pretty young to not remember those days. Pepsi did plenty of bashing Coke. I think their most successful ad campaign might have been based on it.

Upon reading the stuff on the pic, to begin with it wasn't samsung throwing lawsuits around to begin with. And that looked like it was written by a bunch of fan boys. Not enough juice to defend the 5 against the S3. I love the iPhone more than the s3 but even I have to admit that the s3 got a big advantage against the 5. Just rest it

Re-read what I wrote. Coke never bashed Pepsi. They've never had to. And yes, I'm 40 so I'm definitely old enough to remember.

LMAO at the fanboys trying to diss the better specs. (2GB RAM and higher-res screen.) Seriously?

The thing with the iPhone is that it may not be the best or feature rich phone out there but you know you're still going to buy it. It's like frequent flier miles or the mafia, once you're in, you can never get out. And that's why aapl is worth $700/share.

I concur.

Oh, hello there, Tim Cook.

And I am sure, while 1b is a great amount of money, Samsung has a crapton more.

Plus, Apple won't see that billion for a very long time still. There would be a crazy amount of appeals going back and forth.

Look what that did to Mac market share. Oh, wait, nothing.

Doesn't that just aggravate you?

Its like me saying "Our employees at Walmart are doing great" I neither own any part of Walmart nor am an employee.

That's one thing that just gets to me.

Like when fans of a sports team say "we won". I don't play any sports.

The only thing I refer to as "we" that I'm not really a part of is my college sports teams or a company I work for. After all, I put a lot of time and money in both of them.

Yer right, I miss read your comment. But still, I guess you missed the Surge ads and the Gatorade vs Powerade ads.

In b4 sammy fanboys claiming that the S3's plastic has 'hyperglaze' or whatever the #$%@$% that means.

One of Apple's initial problems with the initial titanium powerbooks was wireless signal integrity. It can still be an issue with aluminum, but it's not as bad. Polycarbonate isn't really the same thing as cheap plastic. Coke cans also don't use quality aluminum. Anyway calling it plastic is just semantics and has no relevance in terms of build quality. Of course both of you probably know this.

Counter-Ad to Samsung (help build it)

Before I noticed the entire freakin' Internet had the same lame idea, I decided it'd be funny to make a counter-advert to Samsung's campaign—and I thought it'd definitely be funny to make it on an iPhone. I don't really like the ones in this thread because they're not intelligent or funny, but mine would still need help to make it any better, unfortunately.

Apple would never produce something like this, which is why I wanted to give it a "fan-made" flavor with memes and a more down-to-earth, casual feel. I think that would make it all the more entertaining.

Have something better than the B.S. posted in the OP? Post it in a reply.

NOTE: The picture is not compressed, and may take a minute to load. I've added a link just in case.

Why are people getting butthurt by this? Couldn't care less who likes/hate the phone.

From what I can gather it has something with the practice of rooting their phones. God knows how that they get that 4.8" screen up there.

For those that indulge in this curious practice and are suffering pain in the posteriorial regions as a result, I'd suggest getting some lidocaine ointment.

Um... rationalize how you'd like, fanboys, the S3 is still better.

No reviews from the iPhone 5 but from the specs alone, the iPhone 5 is thinner, lighter, faster, is made of better quality materials and has a better overall ecosystem.

The only advantage of the S3 as far as I can tell is its increased display size of 4.8" over 4" (correct me if I'm wrong) and the tinkering-customization aspect of Android. Altough to be fair, there are plenty of customization tweaks for a jailbroken iOS too. I'm not too much into tinkering and I haven't jailbroken my iPhone in the last couple of years, but even in the early 3GS days there were a LOT of tweaks available in Cydia.

I'm really tired of all this fanboy wars. The sad part is that, for 5 years now, I keep hearing about this "new" iPhone killer, but it feels like deja-vu already. I'm glad the competition grows closer or even surpasses Apple in some regards, but in my opinion in many areas they still have some catching up to do.

I did preorder the iPhone 5, and as you can see I also own an iPad and a MBA. But to my defence I did own the first Motorola Droid (or Milestone) and the international Samsung Galaxy S. I also have access to a Samsung Nexus. So I'm not totally ignorant towards Android. :D

The phone itself probably is better, but when you look at the whole package with iCloud that's what keeps me coming & many others back for more. Not forgetting the free iOS updates which are always brilliant.

As others have said once you are in the Apple bubble it's difficult to get out...
